Once we got back to Luke's house I sat on the couch and waited for him to shower and get ready. I was going to change into something nicer than just jeans and a simple shirt but he told me and I quote, 'you look perfect right now' so I ended up not changing. He took kind of a long time to get ready, which wasn't usually like him. I mean he always took forever on his hair but he never took this long.
"Sorry I couldn't find my shirt." He said breathlessly as he came down the stairs.
"You have like a million shirts." I said and stood up from the couch.
"Yeah but I wanted to wear this one." He said and grabbed his keys so we could go. The shirt was just a black and white striped shirt. I mean yes he did look good in the shirt, but he looked good in any shirt.
"Come on let's go I'm hungry." He said and took my hand before dragging me out of the house so we could eat.

We talked about random things on the way to the restaurant. He was fun to be around, which yes I already knew before. But I feel like today I'm seeing a new side of him that I've never seen before. He was weirder than normal, more of a goofball, and seemed more comfortable. He was already super comfortable with me before but I don't know, I feel different with him now.
We walked in the restaurant holding hands and laughing about something ridiculous he had said.
I love his laugh, if it was the only thing I could listen to for the rest of my life I could still die happy. It was high pitched which was different in a sense, and it was also just a bit squeaky if he laughed hard enough and long enough which made it that much more unique.
And his face, his beautiful beautiful face when he laughed. His eyes screwed shut and held slight crinkles on the outside of them. His perfectly pointy nose scrunched itself up in the most adorable way. And his smile was so so wide. His dimples showed on either side of his cheeks and his perfectly straight pearly whites graciously appeared.
He was beautiful when he laughed, he was beautiful when he didn't laugh. He's just a beautiful human being.
"Paisley? You there?" Luke asked with a slight chuckle as he snapped his fingers in front of my face.
"Hm? Yeah." I said and snapped my head up
towards him."Where'd you go?" He asked with a small smile.
"Nowhere." I said with a small smile and shrugged my shoulders as I looked at him. His perfectly shaped pink lips forced themselves in a small smile, allowing me to see his dimples that have been hiding behind his facial hair ever since I met him.
"It looks pretty busy, do you want to go somewhere else?" He asked and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
The feeling of his skin touching mine always sent shivers down my spine and forced goosebumps to rise on my skin. He was always so gentle when he touched me, and I don't think I'll ever be able to explain how it makes me feel.
"No, I've got no where to be. Do you?" I said and slightly tilted my head to the side as I looked up at him.
"Nope, just with you." He said with a smile and wrapped an arm around my shoulders to pull me closer to him. The feeling of warmth and comfort once again enveloped me as I stood there in his embrace. His scent filled my nostrils which was almost heavenly, especially compared to what he smelled like after practice.
After Luke went up to the hostess we sat in the waiting area, waiting to be called. I could tell she thought he was cute, which obviously, it's Luke. But she was being very flirty from where I could see. Twirling her hair around her finger, leaning closer to him from across the counter, biting her lip, the way she looked at him really just gave it away on its own.
I couldn't tell if he was flirting back since his back was facing me. Not that it mattered, we aren't together or anything, we're just friends.
He washed most of my worries away when he walked over to me with a smile on his face and that look in his eyes he always had when he looked at me. He looked at me differently than he looked at anyone else. I couldn't figure out what it was but I knew it was different then when he looked at anyone other than me, I always paid attention.
He sat down next to me and laced our vastly different sized hands together in my lap. He started rambling about how hungry he was and how he didn't know what he wanted to eat. I asked him questions like well what are your options, what do you feel like eating, what is currently speaking to you right now, stuff like that. Because that's always how I figured out what I wanted to eat when I was in this situation.
While we sat at our table and ate I asked him the same sort of questions he's asked me. Most of them I already knew just by knowing him for three and a half months. We got into a few deep conversations that ended up taking up a lot of our time, not that I minded. I loved talking to him or even just being with him in general. The time went by super fast when I was with him which was a little bit sad.
