"I'm kind of surprised you're actually going to hang out with me." Luke said which made me turn around to see him walking towards me."I have nothing else to do." I said and shrugged my shoulders.
"So I'm your back up plan?" He asked with a hurt look on his face.
"Well obviously I wouldn't be hanging out with you if I had something better to do." I said while he just smirked and shook his head.
"Why are you always doing that?" I asked and crossed my arms over my chest as I looked up at him.
"Doing what?" He asked and kept his stupid smirk on his face.
"You're always smirking at me, it's annoying." I said, causing a chuckle to escape his lips.
"I like your sass and your sarcasm, it's attractive to me and let's me know you're not too sensitive and can deal with a bit of banter. I like that." He said seriously and looked into my dark brown eyes.
"Guess I'll have to start being nice to you then." I said with a sigh which again made him smirk and shake his head.
"Are we going or what?" I asked and raised my eyebrow at him after he was just stood there looking at me.
"Yeah let's go." He said and nudged his head in the direction he was heading in so I'd follow.
"Really? A Mercedes?" I asked once we walked up to his car in the parking lot.
"Do you have something against Mercedes?" He asked and looked at me with a confused look over the hood of the car.
"No, I guess I shouldn't be so surprised." I said and got in the passenger seat of the car and put my bag on the floor at my feet.
"For your information, it's older than it looks so it's not as expensive as you might think." He said matter of factly and started the car.
"If you say so." I said and tapped my fingers against my leg.

The ride to Luke's was pretty quiet, other than the music in the background. At least that was until we pulled up to his house, his huge house.
"Your house is huge." I said in awe as we stepped out of the car. I swear his house was like three of mine, it was ridiculous.
"I can't tell if that's a compliment or another one of your judgmental comments." He said and threw his bag over his shoulder as he locked the car.
"Neither, just simply an observation." I said as I stared up at the house.
"Are you going to come in or just look at it from the outside?" He asked with a chuckle as he waited for me to follow him up the front steps.
"I guess I'll come in." I said and followed him up to the front door and waited for him to unlock it.
"It's quiet in here." I said after he had closed the door and threw his bag on the floor.
"Well it's usually just me here, unless I have my friends here then it gets pretty loud." He said and shrugged his shoulders.
"Hmm, I guess I just assumed that there were a lot of people here." I said and looked around some more. A few seconds later I felt his hand on my shoulder and immediately flinched and looked at him in confusion and slightly anger.
"I'm just taking your bag off." He said with a chuckle and gently took my bag off my shoulders and put it next to his on the clean floor.
"Oh... thanks." I said softly and stared at his hands.
"Want a tour?" He asked.
"Sure." I said and let him lead me through the house, walking me to every possible room he had in here. I'd definitely get lost a few times but whatever, it's not like I'll bump into anyone.
"So why is it just you in this huge ass house?" I asked once he brought me back to the kitchen to make us a snack.
"Well my brothers are both moved out and my parents are always working or out with their friends." He said as if it didn't bother him at all, and maybe it didn't but I don't know.
"How many brothers do you have?" I asked and sat at one of the stools that was behind the giant kitchen island that fit in the giant kitchen.
"Two, Jack and Ben. They're both older than me by a few years or so." He said and continued to look through the kitchen for something to eat.
"That's nice." I said and rested my elbows on the counter.
"Mhm. Do you have any siblings?" He asked and turned around to face me.
"Nope." I said and hoped he didn't ask me anything further.
"Do you like being an only child? Sometimes I wish I was but obviously I was the last one so that would never happen." He said with a chuckle.
"It's fine I guess. It sucks as a kid cause you have no one to play with but as a teenager it's not so bad I guess." I said and shrugged my shoulders.
"At least you didn't have anyone to pick on you or tease you." He said and I just shrugged because that wasn't necessarily true for me as a kid.
"Okay." He said and abruptly placed his hands down on the island across from me causing me to jump a bit.
"I want to know everything about you." He said and looked me dead in the eyes.
"That's not gonna happen." I scoffed and tucked my hair behind my ear.
"And why not?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because I don't trust you, or like you really." I said truthfully which made him laugh.
"Come on, just the little things. What's your favorite food?"
"Mac and cheese."
"What's your favorite color?"
"Lavender."
"Favorite animal?"
"Sloth."
"Sloth? What kind of answer is that?" He asked in confusion.
"Come on they're cute." I defended.
"If you say so." He said with an unconvinced look. "Favorite tv show?"
"Grey's Anatomy."
"What do you do for fun?"
"Read and listen to music."
"Favorite musician then?"
"I like a bunch of stuff, I'm not picky."
"Interesting.... I've run out of questions." He said and tapped his chin.
"Good, that game wasn't fun for me." I said which made him roll his eyes.
