Today was the day I was hanging out with Luke. I'm not even sure how he got me to agree to hang out with him if I'm honest. I guess he just annoyed me that much.I didn't talk to him much today before our class we had together. I saw him in the halls and he told me to wait for him outside by the brick wall so he could bring me to his house. about the rest of the day I didn't see him until calculus.
We obviously worked together on our stupid packet like Mr. B told us to. I tried to work by myself but he wouldn't let me for some reason so I was forced to work with Luke, which was a struggle. He didn't really know what he was doing more than half the time, and that was kind of frustrating for me.
I was pretty good at this class, so I normally just sailed through all the worksheets that were given out. Honestly I'd probably be done by now but he was holding me back a bit. I'm not judging him, I just work at my own pace and this just wasn't it. Also he would keep flirting with me or using some sort of pick up line or anything to try and derail the conversation from math to anything else.
"Wanna skip last period?" Luke asked as we packed up our stuff.
"With you? No." I said which made him pout.
"Come on why not? I'm so much fun, you'll find that out later." He said with a smirk and stepped closer to me and into my personal bubble.
"I've been around you enough to see that you're not that fun, you're kind of annoying and are always up in my personal bubble." I said and stepped away from him while he got a pained look on his face.
"Sheesh you really don't hold back huh?" He said and put his hand on his chest as if he was just stabbed.
"Nope. There's no point in lying." I said and threw my bag over my shoulders.
"At least soften the blow would ya?" He asked and stood next to me.
"I only do that for people I like." I said which caused him to scoff out a chuckle and shake his head.
"Damn Paisley, I've been nothing but a nice guy to you, and complimented you left and right and you still don't like me?" He asked and turned so he was facing me.
"That doesn't make a difference to me." I said and crossed mg arms over my chest.
"Well then what will?" He asked with a curious look on his face.
"I just don't trust you, simply as that." I said and shrugged my shoulders.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Well for one, you just randomly came up to me the other day so you shouldn't expect me to trust you within three days. Also not to mention the fact that you're a star baseball player with the popularity of Babe Ruth." I said seriously.
"Okay the first part I can understand, but how does the second part have anything to do with me talking to you?" He asked just as the bell went off for next period.
"People like you don't talk to people like me unless they get something out of it." I said and walked out of the classroom and towards my next class.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked and grabbed my arm and turned me around so I was facing him. I flinched, obviously not expecting him to grab me, and immediately tore my arm out of his grasp.
"It means exactly what I said. How many times do I have to tell you not to touch me?" I said in annoyance and stepped away from him.
"What's your problem with me touching you? It's not like I'm gonna hurt you or something." He said and I just rolled my eyes.
"That's none of your business." I said and turned around to go to class.
"Are you still coming over?" He asked and followed me down the hall.
"I don't know." I said and looked straight ahead.
"Well I think you should." He said matter of factly.
"I don't care what you think." I said with a sigh of annoyance.
"Come on Paisley." He groaned but I just ignored it.
"Fine I'll come over, happy?" I said and abruptly turned around to face him which I think struck him by surprise. The only reason I agreed to hanging out with him was so that I didn't have to be with my dad for as long. He usually went to bed by 8 or 9 because he drank himself to sleep, so if I just went home by then then I'd be fine.
"Yes." He said with a wide smile that showed his dimples.
"Okay, now leave me alone." I said with an eye roll and caught him smirking before I turned around to head to class.
