Alex's POV

If there's one subject I could get rid of forever, it would be math. Math was completely useless. Students only need to learn the basic maths, because that is the math we will be using the rest of our lives, not this calculus shit. And if a person wanted to pursue a career that involves advanced math they would learn it, but at least let the rest of the world not have to endure this suffering.

I stared blankly ahead, not comprehending a word the teacher was saying. Each equation went in one ear and came out the other, still completely unsolved of course. It's honestly a wonder I was still in honors math when all I did in class was count down the seconds before I got to leave.

My phone buzzed, and my attention turned from the clock to my phone in my lap. I glanced down to see who had texted me, grinning widely when I saw who it was.

Cal: hey how's hell

Cal: I mean school

I couldn't help but smile. My mind flashed back to yesterday when Calum called me. He had been so excited when he told me what Mali had gotten him. It was a phone made specially for blind people. It read aloud texts and typed what the person would say in response. "Now we can talk while you're at school!" He had said. "I'm so fucking sick of waiting for you to get home everyday."

Me: the absolute worst

Me: math is actually of the devil

Cal: of course it is I mean 666 is math and numbers so it only makes sense

Me: my point exactly

Me: but how's homeschool

Cal: boring as fuck

Me: it can't be that bad

Cal: trust me it is

Me: just enroll in public school with me

Me: I would personally volunteer to be your eyes at school

Cal: you'd be some pretty sketchy eyes like idk if I could trust you

Me: gasp! I am personally offended!

Cal: you should be

Me: rude

Cal: jkjk you know I love you

Me: I know

Me: I'm the best

Cal: and you're so modest

Me: your sarcasm isn't appreciated

Cal: your mom appreciates my sarcasm

Me: what

Me: I'm laughing so hard rn

Cal: lol

Me: also tell your mom I say hi

Cal: what no

Me: why not

Cal: why do you want to say hi to my mom

Me: because she is a very lovely lady who deserves a nice hello

Cal: ok I'll tell her

Cal: and you're right she is a lovely lady

Me: awwww so cute you're a mama's boy arent you

Cal: of course I am

Cal: I spend every minute of everyday with my mom you bet your ass I'm a mama's boy
