Chapter 20

1st POV:

"Mikey wants you to come to the meeting." 

"Whaaat? Why?" I ask Mitsuya as I sit on the floor of his living room, holding Mana in my lap as she draws with Luna on the little coffee table. Mitsuya sat on the other side of Luna, drawing with Luna. Mana had begged me to spend New Year's day with them as their mum had to work during the day. Of course, I agreed who could resist her.

"I don't know. He knew you were with me today and asked me to bring you to the " Mitsuya replied, not looking up from the picture he was focused on. 

"Do you think everything's ok?" I ask slightly nervous about what Mikey could want. Mitsuya finally lifted his head, his eyes meeting mine.

"Everything will be fine. Trust me." Mitsuya smiles at me and I give one back to him.

Timeskip

The meeting began as I stood off to the side of the many members of the Toman gang. I was so nervous that I hadn't paid attention to anything that was happening in the meeting until Draken yelled out, "Quiet, Everyone!!" allowing Mikey to speak up,

"Lastly, I want to talk about something... involving the Christmas conflict. Tetta Kisaki!" Kisaki steps forward, 

"Yes!!"

"You're fired," Mikey speaks coldly. Talk erupted among the members and I moved closer to the boys. 

Chifuyu spoke up, "I gave Mikey-kun a general report of Kisaki's betrayal. But I never thought that Mikey-kun would respond like this. He was even a captain, you know? Didn't think he'd get fired."

Kisaki looked to Mikey-kun, "What're you saying, Mikey? You're joking, right?"

"I'm not joking here. You're fired." Mikey spoke. At this point, Draken had walked over to me, 

"You look a little nervous Y/N-chan. Don't worry. Mikey-kun just wanted you to see Kisaki get fired, something like a little revenge you know? But if you wanna go up there and hit him. I wouldn't blame you." Draken smiled down at me.

"NO!! You'd grown weak! Taiju was a threat to Toman! I acted for your sake!!" Kisaki suddenly yelled out, trying to run up to where Mikey-kun was but Draken blocked him,

"Hey, who said you could come up here?" Hanma attacked Draken though, so Kisaki could make his way up to Mikey,

"Don't listen to these worthless fools, Mikey. Aren't you going to make a new age for delinquents?! Toman's gonna get bigger... and become an organization that can bring anyone to their knees! If it gets bigger, it's sure to breed darkness! And I'll take on all that darkness! So that you can shine!! You need me. Mikey. I am the shadow you cast. We need each other. So reconsider this, Mikey!! You can't achieve your dream on lip service alone!!" Kisaki begged but Mikey simply started walking away,

"We're through Kisaki. Your arbitrary decisions will screw up my dream... And you hit Y/N-chan... you should be lucky I don't do something worse than fire you." Mikey said as returned back, continuing on his way. 

Kisaki fell to his knees "M-M-MIKEEEEEY!!"

Draken stood in front of the gathered members, "This meeting is over now!!"

It was over. Kisaki was out of Toman. That meant the future was different now right? We saved everyone. I turned to Takemichi and Chifuyu calling out their names, as they turned to me I ran and jumped, pulling them both into a hug, "We did it!! You did it Takemichi!! I'm so proud of you both!!" I squealed in joy. Takemichi stood in shock. It must be a lot for him, he just saved everyone. All of his work paid off. Chifuyu and I decided to give him some space. 

"AAHHH! Chifuyu!! We got rid of Kisaki! Keisuke would be so proud of you!" I jumped up and down in excitement, still with my arms wrapped around him. Once I had calmed down I noticed several people staring at us weirdly and I faced Chifuyu who was blushing in embarrassment but had a soft smile on his face,

"Baji-san would be proud of you too, Y/N... I still want to go and hit Kisaki for what he did to you though." Chifuyu states, clenching his fist.

"Don't worry Chifuyu. I'm ok, plus he did worse to you. I'm just glad you're ok... Thank you Chifuyu." 

Timeskip

"Takemichi... He went back- to the future... without saying goodbye?" I asked as walked home from school with Chifuyu. He had come to pick me up because he needed to tell me something. The news he had to tell me was that the Takemichi of the future had gone back to the future, "He met up with all of you guys and you guys took pictures but he didn't say goodbye... to me."

"Uh-uh, I'm sorry Y/N, I didn't realise that Takemitchy didn't go see you... I was just coming to tell you that he went back yesterday." Chifuyu apologised. 

"Huh? Oh, it's ok. I just wish he would've said goodbye." I smile sadly at Chifuyu, "Plus I'll see him again in 12 years, right?" I chuckled at Chifuyu's solemn expression, trying to lighten the mode. "I'm glad everything is ok though. Everything will be alright now, won't it? I mean Kisaki is out of Toman and he was the root cause of the problem so as long as everyone is ok and happy in the future then I'm ok."

"Yeah me too." Chifuyu smiles as we walk.

I can't wait for the future.
