Chapter 17

1st POV:

"Go home Y/N."

"Huh? Mitsuya- why do I have to go home? I'm babysitting those two" I say gesturing at Chifuyu and Takemichi with a teasing smile,

"I can do that. You go home. Taiju from the Black Dragons isn't someone I want you to meet." I had never seen Mitsuya so serious.

"He's Hakkai's brother, isn't he?" I asked, directing my attention to Hakkai, "I can go with all of you, right? He's your brother we're going to see, what do you say?" Hakkai just hardened and completely ignored me, standing still like a statue. "Hakkai?" I ask,

"He doesn't do too well around girls..." Takemichi leaned over to me and loudly whispered,

"Hmm well if Hakkai doesn't say I can't then I'm going. And none of you are allowed to speak for him." I started walking forward past Hakkai and Mitsuya even though I had no idea where I was supposed to be going but Mitsuya grabbed my arm.

"Y/N. I'm serious. Go home. Chifuyu aren't you supposed to protect her? Tell her to go home." Everyone's attention turned to Chifuyu as he started stuttering unsure what he should reply with so I butted in,

"Even if Chifuyu says go home, I'll just follow behind you guys. Would you rather me stick with you or go to the Black Dragons by myself." Mitsuya finally relented with a sigh,

"Fine. But don't you dare leave my side." I smiled up at his hardened expression and giggled as I started skipping in the direction we were going, 

"Are you guys coming?" I called back to the four boys behind me.

Timeskip

We were now in the Shiba household. Mitsuya was sitting on a couch across from Taiju, Hakkai's older brother. The four of us were standing behind the couch, while two black dragon members stood behind the couch where Taiju sat. It was safe to say that I definitely should've gone home. The atmosphere was terrifying. As Mitsuya talked to Taiju I squeezed Chifuyu's hand, trembling. The aura that Taiju gave of was horrifying. I wanted to leave. Chifuyu squeezed my hand back signalling that everything was ok.

"Hakkai's not leaving Toman because he's scared of you. He's doing it to protect Yuzuha!" Mitsuya had yelled out and Taiju lunged across the coffee table punching Mitsuya. I flinched, closing my eyes. When I opened them I saw that Mitsuya had blocked the punch with his arm. Mitsuya spared me a worried glance before turning his attention back to Taiju.

"Hey... not bad," Taiju smirked at Mitsuya. 

"I'll say it again! I'll give Hakkai to the Black Dragons. So, let Yuzuha go! If you accept these terms, Toman will leave the Black Dragons alone."

(Just realised I didn't say who Yuzuha is. Yuzuha is Hakkai's and Taiju's sister)

"And if I refuse?" Taiju asked,

"Then it's all-out war." Mitsuya stood strong.

"All right. We got a truce! Though, I don't commit any domestic violence... I'll keep my word. I won't ever hit Yuzuha again."

We left the Shiba residence but I was still trembling. I had released Chifuyu hand by now and was slowly trailing behind the four boys. I was busy consumed in my own thoughts and feelings not paying attention to the conversations going on around me until Mitsuya spoke loudly,

"Only use your strength to protect. Don't hate the situation you're born into, Hakkai." ...Mitsuya is really cool... 

I hadn't realised that everyone else had begun walking again until I felt hands on my shoulders. Mitsuya stood in front of me. "You guys go ahead, I'm gonna talk with Y/N." The three boys nodded their heads to this, as I stood there with Mitsuya. "You ok?" Mitsuya asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded my head.

"No, you're not. I can feel you trembling." I didn't know what to say, Mitsuya always seemed to notice these things. He brought me into a hug, "It was a bit scary, wasn't it?" I nodded my head into his chest,

"yeah..." I breathed out quietly, "Are you ok? He punched you... I was so worried when that happened." Mitsuya pulled me closer nuzzling the top of my head with his.

"I'm ok. you saw, didn't you? I blocked him. I'm not hurt so don't be afraid anymore." I nodded my head as Mitsuya continued, "Silly Y/N, you should have listened to me shouldn't you?" He asked and again I nodded my head in reply, "As long as I'm with you I won't let anything happen to you though. I'll always protect you." We stood in each other's arms before Mitsuya spoke up again, "I'm gonna go see Yuzuha so I'll take you home on the way."

When we got to Mitsuya's bike, Mikey was waiting there for us. "You're going to see Yuzuha, right Mitsuya?" 

"Yeah after I take Y/N home," Mitsuya replied. Mikey smiled childishly at this,

"Great! We can drop her off on our way." Mikey said as he gestured for us to get on the bike.

"Wait Mikey-kun...", "Mikey, we aren't all gonna fit."  Mitsuya and I replied...

So now I'm sitting in front of Mitsuya with Mikey behind us as Mitsuya drives me home. His head right next to mine with his arms around me as he steered. Somehow this is more embarrassing than all the times we've hugged, maybe because we're on a bike and Mikey-kun is behind us.

We arrived at my apartment complex and all of us had to get off so I was able to get off. The three of us stood there awkwardly before Mikey walked up to me and hugged me. "Bye Y/N-chan!! Have a good night!" He smiled at me, I smiled back, "Goodnight Mikey-kun." Mitsuya and I glanced awkwardly at each other before Mikey intervened, "Mitsuya! You should give Y/N-chan a hug as well," Before turning back around to hop on Mitsuya's bike.

Mitsuya approach me and wrapped his arms around me, bringing his mouth to my ear, "Goodnight Y/N. Message me if you need anything." He then lightly kissed the side of my cheek. I flushed red, averting my gaze to the ground before speaking,

"G-Goodnight Takashi-kun," I said as I turned tail and bolted inside before I could see his reaction to me calling him by his first name. Ughh come on Y/N, it's just his name you don't need to be so embarrassed.
