Chapter 40

1st POV:

"Huh?" 

"You spaced out for a minute, are you ok?" I asked Takemichi again.

"Oh, uh, yeah..." Takemichi answered, still clearly spaced out. I hummed in reply, hoping that if it was something important he would tell me. "I better get going as well then. I'm supposed to meet up with Takashi. See ya!" I waved, goodbye to Takemichi as I walked to catch my own train. 

Timeskip 

"Why are you meeting up with Takemichi so late?" Takashi inquired as I hopped off of his motorbike.

"Uhh... We have something to do. Don't worry though, it's nothing bad," I answered him.

"Hmm, sounds suspicious."

"S-suspicious, it's not suspicious! Wh- How could you even suggest something like that," I argued, causing Takashi to chuckle at me.

"Alright, alright. Takemichi's headed over here," he said, pointing behind me, "I'll pick you up from here once you're done not doing suspicious things," Takashi grinned at me, as he leaned forward on his bike, kissing me quickly before waving to Takemichi as he rode off.

"So is Brahman's meeting gonna take place in this normal looking building?" Takemichi questioned as we walked inside the building. 

"I guess... this is the address Senju sent us so, it must be," I replied to him as I too, looked around. "Woah, is that a security camera and a keypad door?!" 

"It's as if they're a secret society or something," Takemichi whispered to me nervously. I pat him on the shoulder as we walked through the door, in the hopes of calming his nerves, but when we entered we both freaked out.

"Huh!? What the hell is going on here!?" Takemichi shouted as I stood there in shock, looking at what was going on. It was like fight club. These two guys were fighting as various members of Brahman stood around them shouting and cheering. 

"B1. Brahman's underground ring," Draken replied to Takemichi as he came to stand next to us. 

"Wait... Wasn't there supposed to be a meeting today?" I asked Draken.

"Matches go on here every night. The rich guys watch these matches through a monitor and place their bets. By making a living in 'B1', these fighters formed a powerful unit. A unit now known as the militant combat gang, 'Brahman'."

"We don't have to fight, do we?" I asked as I moved to stand behind Draken, peeking out past his shoulder. Draken turned his head to look at me and patting me on the head, 

"I won't let you fight," He said as he smiled at me.

"That's enough!! Turn off the cameras! Today's match ends here!" Someone called out as they walked down the steps on the opposite side of the ring to us.

"And in this powerful gang, a strong figure leads the team," Draken finished his explanation. The someone too off their hood, revealing themself to be Senju. The crowd all began chanting Senju.

"Now then, let's begin Brahman's grand meeting!" Senju shouted. The chanting continued until Senju reached the middle of the ring, raising her arm in the air. "Introducing our newest members!! Please come forward! Hanagaki Takemichi!! The 3rd of August incident!! Bloody Halloween!! The battle on Christmas! And lastly, the leading man of the Kantou Incident! Tokyo Manji's former first division captain!!  And the last successor of Black Dragon!" Takemichi walked forward to stand in front of Senju, as she continued, "And L/N Y/N!! The battle on Christmas!" I began walking down the stairs towards Senju and Takemichi. Geez, Senju said so much about Takemichi and all I get is my name and 'the battle of Christmas', I didn't even do anything useful then. Actually, I'm surprised Senju even knew I was there, maybe she asked Takemichi about that. Why did she even let me join Brahman when I have no experience or skills. My rambling thoughts stopped as I stood, next to Takemichi, before Senju. "Wear this, Hanagaki Takemichi, L/N Y/N!! From now on, this will be your uniform! Welcome to Brahman Hanagaki Takemichi and L/N Y/N. The time has come! On the 14th of July... we will battle both Kantou Manji Gang, as well as Rokuhara Tandai! Let's begin the 'Battle of three deities"!" The other Brahman members around us began cheering. I looked at Takemichi as he put on the Brahman jacket, causing me to follow his lead. 

I walked out of the building with Takemichi and Draken, admiring the Brahman uniform I was wearing. "Wahh!! This is so cool! Don't I look badass?! I can't believe Senju let me join! This is awesome!!" I squealed As I flapped my arms around, shoving them in both Draken's and Takemichi's faces. Takemichi ignored me as he was lost in thought looking at his own uniform. Draken laughed at the way I was acting before talking,

"Oh, so you ended up telling Mitsuya about joining Brahman," Draken said as he stared ahead of us. 

"Huh? No, I didn't..." I dragged out the end of my sentence as I turned to see where Draken was looking. Takashi was leaning against his bike staring at the three of us. Yet again I moved to stand behind Draken, "I forgot he was meeting me here."

"Sorry Y/N, I think he already saw you," Draken said as he moved to push me ahead of him, before walking off with Takemichi, "Byeee~ Y/N!" 

I gulped waving at the two boys as I continued to walk towards Takashi. "Hey," I said as I finally came to a stop, standing in front of him, looking at the ground. 

"You joined a gang?" Takashi queried,

"Yeah... Brahman, to be exact," I answered him. I stood there quietly as neither of us spoke. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I was going t but I didn't know if you would try and stop me. I just wanted to help Takemichi... and Mikey," I finally blurted out.

"It's a gang, you know. Gang's fight. You could get hurt."

"I know," I answered.

"I don't want you to get hurt."

"I know."

"I don't want you to be in a gang."

"I know."

"...you do look cute in your uniform." I finally raised my head to see Takashi smiling sweetly at me. I smiled back at him as I leapt forward, wrapping my arms around me.

"So does that mean you're ok with me being in Brahman?" I asked.

"I don't like it but if it's what you want then alright. But I don't want you fighting anyone or getting hurt in any way. Tell that to Takemichi and Draken as well. I'll blame them if you get hurt," Takashi mumbled in my neck as he squeezed me tighter.

"Don't worry, Senju and everyone else in Brahman are really strong. I just hope they don't make me participate in their fight club streaming thing."

"Wait- fight club?! What the hell is that?!" Takashi asked pushing me back to look at my face.

"Uhh, well they fight and stream it to rich guys who make bets about it. But don't worry about it, Draken said he wouldn't anyone make me do it."

"Don't do anything dangerous, ok?" I nodded as I turned Takashi around, pushing him to get on the bike as I climbed behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist and kissing him on the cheek.
