Ah, to be unafraid of anything. To never know what it's like to see an awful sight and jolt. To never be afraid to stand up in front of class and speak your piece. Sounds like quite the blessing, no?

Akihiko was born with a condition that damaged the part of his brain that is often known as the center of fear, as well as other functions and feelings: The amygdala. As such, he has never been able to feel fear. While this may sound like a good thing to most, it is the main reason he is constantly covered in so many injuries. Jumping from a high place, touching that cool looking animal, playing with fire... All things Akihiko has done, completely unafraid of what may happen. As such, he has spent a lot of time in hospitals during his upbringing, causing much of a strain on his family. At the time of the Killing Game, his left arm is broken and in a cast, his right arm is bandaged up, he has braces on both his knees, a burn scar on his lower face... You get the idea.

Despite his unfortunate, injury-filled upbringing, Akihiko does not let it get to him. He tends to stay very optimistic regarding just about anything, but that may just be because he doesn't fear the consequences or the results of a bad situation. He is a very chill person in just about any situation, and rarely gets mad at anyone for any reason. He tends to crack jokes a lot, and tries to cheer others up when he sees they are down, although he has a tendency to misread the room.
