Akihiko: "The... Main hall? I don't remember coming here..."
[Akihiko looks around for a moment, seeing nothing special. But suddenly, the ground he stands on erupts into flames.]
Akihiko: "Woah! Fire? What the hell's goin' on?"
???: "You tell me, peasant."
[Akihiko whips around to look at the source of the voice. As soon as he does, he sees an all-too familiar face: Asami.]
Asami: "These flames were your doing, were they not?"
Akihiko: "What...? I... Um..."
Asami: "You made use of these flames in your plan, no? Your plan to kill me?"
Akihiko: "W-Wait, I..."
Asami: "Tell me, then. Was it so worth it? So worth it to kill me for nothing? You didn't even escape from this horrid place, you remained in the Killing Game nonetheless."
Akihiko: "I don't... Y-You're dead! Why are you here?"
Asami: "Ah, I see. So you feel no remorse, then? I assumed as much."
Akihiko: "Hey, wait! That's not it, I...!"
???: "Just stop already."
[Akihiko turns around to the new voice, and finds Yudai leaning against the wall behind him.]
Yudai: "...Stop. You killed us both for nothing. You don't even remember why you killed us, only that you did. At this point, you don't even deserve to feel remorse. You don't deserve to atone or anything either."
Akihiko: "W-What? Listen, I'm sorry! I... I don't know why I did it..."
Yudai: "Of course you don't. You don't even care enough to remember. What, were we just a couple of worthless lives for you to toss away?"
Asami: "It would appear so. Such a waste..."
Akihiko: "Hey, I said wait! That's not it..."
Asami: "Then what is it, fool? Believe me when I say, there is naught a thing you can say. Here you stand in a sea of fire, met with your victims of a meaningless crime. What exactly can you say?"
Akihiko: "I... I..."
Yudai: "...Right. I can only hope that you eventually know what it's like to be backstabbed, like what you did to us. By someone you thought was your friend, someone you thought you could trust."
Akihiko: "I..."
Yudai: "...Just go. Leave us. Let us stay as just a memory for the one that killed us for nothing."
Asami: "...Begone."
[And then, Akihiko woke up in the same dorm room he fell asleep in last night, to an all too familiar alarm.]
TV (Muna): "Ahem... Good morning, everyone! It is now 7 a.m., which means it's morning!"
Tv (Lios): "Wakey-wakey, it's time for a new day of the Killing Game! Hop to it!"
