[Akihiko and Hisoka walk upstairs through the school, both lost in thought regarding the upcoming class trial.]

Akihiko: (...I should check out Asami's talent lab first. It probably has more info on that M.A.D. thing. But first... I really gotta ask Hisoka about this stuff.)

Hisoka: "..."

Akihiko: "Hey, Hisoka."

Hisoka: "Yeah?"

Akihiko: "I... Gotta ask you some more about something. It's that friend of yours."

[Suddenly, Hisoka stops in her tracks.]

Hisoka: "..."

Akihiko: "...Er, sorry for bringing it up, but."

Hisoka: ".......It's fine. What is it?"

Akihiko: "Well... His name, it was Hachiro Sakata, right?"

Hisoka: "...Yes. It was."

Akihiko: (...'Was', huh?)

Akihiko: "...Sorry if this is pushing boundaries, but... Can you tell me more about him?"

Hisoka: "..."

Akihiko: (...I hate to do this, considering she just found out he was arrested, but... I think this is important.)

Hisoka: "...Like I told you already, if I'm the Ultimate White Hat Hacker, he was the Ultimate Black Hat Hacker. He taught me most of what I know about hacking. He... Used to be like me with my abilities. He only used them as a hobby, or to take jobs. But... Eventually, he started using them for illegal stuff. Finding people's real names and addresses, breaking into bank accounts, looking through private security cameras..."

Akihiko: "Why did he start doing all that?"

Hisoka: "...I don't know. I think he just... Got bored. I tried to get him to stop, but he'd never listen. He just kept going and going, and doing bigger and bigger stuff... Until he flew too close to the sun."

[Hisoka looks at the ground solemnly, trembling a little.]

Hisoka: "He... Found top secret government files and started reading them, and trying to take them. That was when he got caught... Like I already told you."

Akihiko: "Do you... Know what kinda stuff he found? Or why he was looking at that stuff?"

Hisoka: "...No, I don't. Before the last trial, I just used the computer in my talent lab to look into it, and I found out that way. I... Guess it happened while we were all kidnapped."

Akihiko: "Right..."

Hisoka: "...When he started using his skills to break the law, I tried to help him, and cover his tracks. I'll admit... If it weren't for me, he probably would have been caught long ago."

Akihiko: "...Why'd you care so much about him?"

Hisoka: "..."

Akihiko: "Er, sorry, that was a bad question..."

Hisoka: "...I don't know. I grew up with him, and... He was my only friend for most of my life. I guess... I never thought he could do any wrong, so I tried to justify it in my head. I... Stopped believing that after a while, though."

Akihiko: "I see. I... Guess I can understand that."

Akihiko: (This Hachiro guy... Even though he did all that stuff, Hisoka doesn't make him sound like a bad guy. Still though... The reason I brought him up... That thing Kenji told me.]

Akihiko: "Hey, did he ever mention... Well, anything called Ragnarok?"

Hisoka: "...Ragnarok?"

Akihiko: (Kenji told me Hachiro was a member of Ragnarok... Seems like Hisoka had no idea about that.)
