As a master of just about any card game, from poker to blackjack to baccarat, Tetsuya is a force to be reckoned with. Although he is not yet old enough to go to a casino to play, he has been playing for years against anyone willing to challenge him. He has made a small fortune off of the "suckers" that dare to bet against him, and as far as the world knows, he hasn't lost a game in years. It may just be luck, but he says that there is a certain amount of skill and knowledge that is needed for all of these games. Many would be quick to accuse him of cheating, but this has never been able to be proven.
What Tetsuya has learned and mastered in these card games has translated to his daily life. He has perfected the art of a poker face to the point that he is rarely seen showing any sort of emotion on his face. In addition, he will never let you know anything he doesn't want you to know through his speech or even his emotions. He seems to be constantly thinking about and focusing on his body language and his words so that no info ever leaks out. He could easily be described as paranoid and overly cautious, as he seems to always make sure to plan out any situation with a potential risk factor as best as he can before acting. It should be noted that there should be a lot of emphasis on him being overly cautious. He'll never eat food given to him by a stranger unless it's someone known to be trustworthy, or if he can prove that the food is not poisoned. He'll even try to check if a room is trapped or prepped with an ambush before entering. One can only wonder what kind of enemies he's made through his hobby to feel the need to worry so much over such small things.
