Thorin, Kili, Fili and I traveled into Dale that next day. When we tried to enter the city, we were stopped by someone I didn't really want to see that day.

"Hold up!" he shouted as we tried to enter. "Where are your papers?"

"Shut up, Alfrid," I rasped. "We have important business with Bard. Let us in."

"Does the master know that you're coming?"

"No. How are we supposed to tell him if you don't let us in?" Thorin challenged.

Alfrid opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted.

"That's enough, Alfrid," a calm voice spoke. I looked over his shoulder to see Bard approaching. I let out a sigh.

"Master, I was only trying-"

"Use some common sense."

Alfrid solemnly nodded and walked off.

"I apologize," Bard said as he let us walk into the city. "This new lifestyle is taking some getting used to."

"It is perfectly alright," I reassured him. "But, there is an important matter we have to discuss."

Bard looked at me with worry in his eyes.

We were welcomed into his palace, where we told him everything about what led us to believe that Azog the Defiler was still alive, and how this war wasn't over yet.

"I'll double my guards," he assured. "Keep the streets well lit at night. Anything to keep my people as safe as possible."

"If war is on the rise," Kili said. "Then we're going to need Gandalf."

I smirked. I don't think Gandalf was ever on the loosing side in a battle, at least, the ones that I know of.

"Will the wizard be returning any time soon?" Bard asked. For some reason, they all looked to me.

"I don't know anything about if he is returning after his journey to the Shire," I claimed defensively. "I don't know what he has planned."

"Well, when or if he arrives, let me know," Bard requested.

We nodded. After a few more minutes of discussion, we left Dale and traveled back to Erebor.

"What's going to happen?" I asked Thorin. "Do you really think the war isn't over?"

"Just because we won the battle," Thorin began. "Doesn't mean the war is won."

Anyway, I'm super sick rn, so my voice was shot, as were most of our sopranos, so that happened. Then, in the middle of a song, a girl on the top riser passed out and fell right past me, and it was really just this awkward chain of events, cuz right after that, one of our sick sopranos started crying and ran off stage. When we were done, I ended up laughing like a maniac as we walked off stage and people probably thought I was crazy. So ya...

I hope you enjoyed that charming anecdote. If you want more, I have plenty.
