I Swear I Didn't Mean It

A/n- This is kinda like a part 2 to the last chapter, as well as the chapter where Tsumugi and Kokichi get along! They are all still in the 3rd grade, same outfits, same everything! Kokichi's POV isn't exactly the main subject of this chapter, but it does show a new bonding!

There will be 2 main parts!

Part 1: Getting to understand Maki's code better

Part 2: Finding Kokichi(Not actually that important, but it seals the ties)

Things are getting pretty scrambled, but I'll organize it in a chapter or 2 later-

Really quick, I want to say that the thing with Maki and Kokichi kind of being the main characters relates to Shuichi and Kaede. When Kaede dies, and she has relationships with someone (platonic, or just already had a free time event), then all that effort gets given to Shuichi, and he'll start off acting as if he'd known the character for 3 free time events. That's the same thing for Maki and Kokichi, but nobody's dying!

This takes place in mid-July, so school is almost done for them!(They end school on July 16th, but it's still the 11th, which is a Sunday.)

So...let's do this...I guess..?

(Another quick message: Maki cannot recall what happened during the conversation with Rantaro 2 chapters earlier, and things are moving quite slowly in 3rd grade...)

Maki's POV

I hadn't heard from Peko and Fuyuhiko...In years.

The last ever message I got from Peko was that I was formally allowed to use their first names, but after I texted back, she didn't answer.

Everything seemed so dull and sullen without them. Heck, even Hajime and Nagito seemed depressed.

Thankfully, Kokichi seemed...Normal as ever, really. He seemed happier, and way more carefree lately. I guess it's because of all the friends he's been making.

I saw him head to Tsumugi's house, and all they did was watch some anime, so I left.

The one thing I forgot to do, was notify our parents about it.

Hajime's POV

"Nagito! How are you so calm?!"

I stood in the kitchen, Nagito holding my hand, as I silently screamed and panicked.

"I put a tracking device in him, I know where he is, Hinata-kun. Calm down." He said so-

"Wait, what the (f word)? Nagito, did you do that to Maki as well?!"

Nagito nodded, and gave a carefree smile.

"I wanna dieeeeeee..." I groaned, dropping to the floor, and letting my arms fall limp beside me.

"Don't say that, Hinata-kun! Don't you wanna live with me forever?"

I shivered, as his mouth got close to my ear. I rolled out of the way, and jumped to my feet, while holding my arm out to him.

"Aw, is Hinata-kun gonna get down on his knee, and lick my shoe? Or~ Is he gonna propose to me~ That spot was saved for me, Hajime!"

I blushed at his claims, but shook my head.

"Give me your device." I said bluntly.

He cocked his head, obviously not understanding what I meant.
