"Come here, Serene. I missed you,"Saad ni Raven nang makapasok ito ng bahay habang ako ay kakalabas lamang sa bakuna ng kusina.

I giggled. Lakad-takbo ang ginawa ko para makalapit dito. He frowned and I know he wanted me stop kaya lang ay ngumisi ako. He just sighed ang met me halfway. Mahaba ang biyas nito kaya hindi ako masiyadong nakalakad-takbo.

"I'm sorry, baby. It took me whole day to came home. Marami kasi akong inasikasong record ng mga files sa opisina sa bahay,"saad nito habang nakayakap pa rin sa 'kin.

"It was fine, Raven. I understand. Saka lagi ka namang tumatawag sa akin kaya hindi kita na miss,"himigpit ang yakap nito ng kaunti.

"What did you say?"he said as he slowly traced his lips on my cheek down to my neck while gently caressing my tummy.

Natawa ako at kumawala sa yakap nito. He loosen his grip but not to the point that he let go of me.

"Wala. Halika na, the dinner is ready,"He wrapped his arms around my waist.

He told me everything he had done while we're eating. He's calm yet I know he's happy on what he was doing.

"While doing my stuff earlier. I have this one patient that need an operation. Kailangan kong lumuwas ng Manila bukas. Babalik ako agad bago pa lumubog ang araw,"Saad nito.

He was looking at me like my answer is the one who can send him there and perform the operation.

"Of course. Walang problema. As long as you're going to come home,"ani ko at ngumiti.

"Of course. You're my home, Serene,"he said and kissed my palm.

NAGISING ako ng madaling araw. Inabot ko ang cellphone kong nasa side table at tiningnan ang oras. It's already 5:45 in the morning. Lumabas ako ng kuwarto na hindi nagaksayang nag-ayos. Dumiritso ako sa kusina para sana ipagluto si Raven nang makitang mayroong note na nakadikit sa ref.

I'm probably on my way to Manila when you get to read this. I don't have a courage to woke my baby up, so I just kissed your lips instead. I'll be back before the sun's up. I love you so much, Serene. Take good care of yourself and to our baby.

Ang kaba na namuo sa dibdib ko ay biglang naglaho ng dahil lang sa sulat ni Raven. Masaya akong nagluto at kumain kahit pa panay hilab ng tiyan ko though it's bearable.

Nagpupunas ako ng kamay nang tumunog ang cellphone kong nasa mesa. Nakita kong si Papa ang caller kaya sinagot ko agad.

"Hi Dad! How are you?"masiyang bati ko.

"I'm alright, hija. Are you busy?"

"No, dad. Why?"I asked.

"Let's me in Cagayan Holidays and Leisure Resorts there, anak,"he said in a very anticipated voice.

Is there something's going on? Daddy is making me feel nervous.

"Really, Daddy? Isasama mo ba si Thelly?"I asked. I set aside the worries that starting building up inside me and asked daddy in a very cheerful tone.

"No, anak. Maybe next time. This is very important. I haven't check the reports yet because I want you to open it first,"he sounds like his was angry but the calmness of his voice was prevailing.

My brows creased to what daddy had said, "What reports are you talking about, Dad?"

"Let's talk further about this later anak. I will message you once I'll arrive there. Take good care of yourself and my grandson,"he said before ending the call.
