Chapter 5: party?

You were on your way to school with Maya. You told her about the manager proposal, since you needed the opinion of another person.

"Well, I think it would be a good idea to accept the proposal", she says. "It's good for your extracurricular activities and you get to watch hot boys play volleyball".

"Maya! Focus!", you snarl.

"Okay okay, but I'm serious though. You should do it".

You couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Semi was the one with this idea. He didn't literally say '(y/n), do you want to be our manager?', but you saw the point of his statement.

"Aya! Naomi!", Maya yells while waving at the two girls.
They were already waiting for us to arrive.

"Hey there, ready to go?", Aya asks.
You and your sister both nod and walk to your first class of the day.

After the fourth lesson of the day, it was lunch break again. You and the girls went outside to sit at a bench to eat your lunch. It was pretty warm for the time of the month, but you loved that. The spring was your favourite season after all.

"So what are you two doing this friday?", Aya asks you and your sister as she takes a sip of her soda can.

This Friday? Probably sleeping.

"Nothing. Just chilling at home I guess...", you reply.

"Good! Wanna attend a party then? My friends from another school are hosting one and they invited me and Naomi. The volleyball team will probably be there too since the host is a volleyball captain himself", she explains.

"I never said I was going", Naomi growls while crossing her arms.

Aya gives her a glare, flicking her forehead out of frustration.
"You're going bitch. You don't have to talk to Oikawa if you don't want too. Just don't spoil the fun for us".

Wait...
Oikawa? You've heard that name before. Didn't Naomi ask you to kick him in the nuts if you would ever meet him?

"Who's Oikawa? Is he your ex-boyfriend?", Maya asks Naomi.

Naomi's eyes widen at the question.
"Oh hell nah! I have to be blind first to have that jerk as my boyfriend', she snarls as she aggressively crushes her soda can with her bare hands. It scared you a little bit to see her like this.

"Oikawa is the team captain of Aoba Johsai. He's one of the best setters to ever exist and he's a real lady's man. All the girls drool over him and he even has his own fucking fanclub", Aya begins.

"He is not on very good terms with our captain due to... certain things", Naomi giggles with a smirk.

"Yeah, but Iwaizumi is friends with some of our team members so he insisted on inviting them. Since Naomi is friends with Iwa, he asked her to come too", Aya adds.

Iwaizumi huh? That's the one Naomi had feelings for...

"Well, I don't care who is friends with who! Me and (y/n) are definitely coming", Maya says with a big smile.

"Awesome! Let's go shopping after school this Friday so we can find a nice outfit, okay?", Aya suggests.

"Don't you have enough outfits already?", Naomi sighs while rolling her eyes.

"Oh shut up Naomi! Some people want to get railed one day!", Aya growls at her best friend, causing you and your sister to burst out in laughter.

When you finally stopped laughing, the bell rang again. Lunch was over.

"Welp, let's go to chemistry before that man rips out our throats".
"Don't say it like that please, it sounds wrong", Maya giggles.

And so, you four headed to you next class.

Right now, you were following your last class. Physics wasn't exactly your favourite subject, but if you ever wanted to become a doctor, you had no choice but to pass. You also didn't like it because this was the only class you didn't follow with any of your friends.

You decided to go to the restroom to refill your bottle of water, since it was warm today.
You raised your hand and asked if you could quickly use the restroom. The teacher nodded but said you had to come back as fast as you could because he was going to share the date of the upcoming test.

You left the classroom, heading your way to the restroom.
On your way, you passed by the third years their classrooms. You stopped for a while, looking for either a red-haired or a grey-haired guy.

You didn't see them and looked around if you could spot Ushijima, but none of them were in this class.

Then, someone grabbed your shoulder, turning you around.

"Looking for someone?", a familiar voice said.
Tendou.

"Hey Tendou. I was just exploring a bit before refilling my bottle", you quickly said.

He did not seem very convinced.

"I see, it is pretty hot in here today", he says with a little smirk.

That comment made a shiver run down your spine.
He did not just-

"Well I have to hurry before the teacher is gonna yell at me, see you around", you say as you take your leave.

"Bye (y/n)!"

God, that asshole is such a tease. This is the second time he gives me chills, you think.

Tendou enters his classroom again after the little chat he had with you.
He takes a seat next to Semi, a smile appearing on his face.

"What are you smiling about, guess monster?", Semi asks.

"Hey! I would stop calling you SemiSemi if you stopped calling me guess monster you twit", Tendou says as he kicks Semi's right leg.

"Ow, god! Sorry... But seriously, why are you smiling like that?"

The smile on Tendou's face keeps growing.
"I ran into (y/n) again. She just seems so interesting. She was spying through one of the windows just now", he says.

Semi raises one of his eyebrows, turning around to face Tendou on his left side.

"Was she lost?", he asks.

"No, definitely not. She called it exploring", Tendou giggles.
"Of couse she would", Semi smiles while shaking his head.

"Semi man, you have been smiling a lot more than usual these past two days. Care to tell me the reason?", Tendou teases as he pokes his elbow against Semi's arm.

"No", Semi says while staring at the desk in front of him.

"Just ask for her number if you're so interested in her already".

Semi quickly turns his head to look at Tendou with a both confused and scared look on his face.
"I don't know what you're talking about", he says.

"You know damn well what I'm talking about. If you're not planning on making a move, then I'm sure you don't mind me doing it instead", Tendou smirks.

"Making a move on who, Tendou? I'm not following you", Semi says but he indeed knows damn well about who Tendou is talking.

"Never mind. I guess I was wrong about your interest in her. I just saw you looking at her a lot during practice, so I started to assume some things".

"Well maybe you should stop assuming then", Semi replies with a stern voice.

It wasn't Tendou's intention at all to make Semi mad. Just like it wasn't his intention to flirt a little bit with you, but he just couldn't help himself. He noticed that his friend had his eyes on you for the past two days, so he just wanted to help him a little bit.

But there's no point in helping someone who doesn't know what to do with the things he's feeling...
