Outstanding (Semi Eita x reader)

Chapter 12: Seijoh

"Hey Semi, thanks for walking me home", you say to him as you give him a little pat on his shoulder.

"No problem. We could do this more often i-if you'd like? I can also pick you up on my way to school but of course only if you want to, I can ima-"

"Gosh stop rambling, of course that's fine", you giggle at the boy who's ears are turning red now.

"Really?", he asks you, clearly surprised.

"Sure, at what time will you be here tomorrow?"

"At 8? Then we'll definitely be on time", he proposes.

"Sounds good! I guess I'll see you tomorrow then", you say happily. "Have a safe walk home Semi!", you say while unlocking the door.

"Call me Eita."

A shiver went down your spine as he said that. It sounded almost... demanding? 
Before you enter your house, you turn around to give him one last smile for today.

"Okay then Eita, I'll see you tomorrow", you tease.

"Good girl. Cya", he waves as he walks away, leaving you flabbergasted in your doorway.

Good girl?

GOOD GIRL? Did he really call you that just now?

"Wow (y/n), did you spot a ghost or something? You look very, VERY scared", Maya laugs as she slaps the back of your head, causing you to come back to your senses.

"U-uh no that's just my serious face", you lie as a red blush appears on your face.

"Liar, I saw Semi leaving our driveway", she smirks.

"That has nothing to do with my face you moron!", you yell as you close the front door, chasing your sister to give her a little beating.

The week went by very fast as Friday arrived again. It was almost 8 am and Semi would soon be waiting for you, just like every other morning this week. You felt yourself getting more comfortable around him. You also had the idea that he thought the same. You noticed that his behaviour started to change a little bit. It wasn't in a bad way, he just acted more casually around you, which you really liked. The two of you became definitely closer.

As the door bell rang, you grabbed your bag and opened the door. 

"Morning Semi, ready to go?", you smiled at the boy.

"Is Maya coming with us this time?", he asked you.

You told Maya you were going to walk with Semi from now on, basically dumping your beloved sister. 

"No, I told her I had a new walking buddy", you smirk. "Since you're always here this early, she just leaves a bit later".

"Oh, okay... And what did I tell you about calling me Semi, (y/n)?", he laughs as he flicks your forehead with a smile.

"I'm sorry, I still have to get used to calling you by your fist name Eita", you snicker.

"Well, let's go shall we?", he says as he start heading his way to Shiratorizawa.

"Hey! Wait for me!", you yell while trying to keep up to him. When he notices that, he start walking faster and faster.

"You jerk! Don't be mean!", you whine as you keep running after him.

Your fourth lesson had just ended and it was time for lunch again. After arriving at school completely out of breath, your concentration had left your body in an instance. 

Fuck you, Eita.

You walked over the lunchtable at which the team was sitting with Naomi, Maya and Aya. You plopped down on the bench with deep sigh as you poked in your food with a chopstick.

"Rough day (y/n)?", Tendou asks with a slightly concerned look.

"Is that even a question?", you growl as you give Semi an angry glare, which causes him to snicker a little bit.

"Yeah, you were a little off today", Naomi adds.

"I'm just very tired because someone made me run a goddamn marathon this morning at fucking 8 am", you say as you take a bite of your bun.

"Maya can't you be a little bit nicer to your sister?", Goshiki asks her.

"What? Me? Oh, you guys clearly hadn't noticed yet", she hisses at you while she squints her eyes at you. "That bitch dumped me for your handsome looking setter", she snarls at Ushijima as she points at his face, her finger almost touching his nose.

Ushijima, Tendou and Goshiki raise their eyebrows at that statement while they shift their look to Semi, who is busy eating his bun. The boy notices the stares, mumbling a 'what', while chewing on his food.

"Eita Semi, that's why you were so early in class these past few days! You were walking with (y/n)!", Tendou shouts as he stands up and messes up the setter's hair with his hands. "I'm proud of you", he whispers so only Semi could hear it. Semi slaps Tendou's hands away from his head, turning around to stuff his mouth with the rest of his bun. "Shut up", he says to his friend.

Everyone starts laughing at the two messing around as you and your friends continue to eat your lunch.

Just before the bell rings again, Ushijima comes up with an idea.

"Hey, what do you guys think about a practice match tomorrow?", he proposes.

"Oh, I would love to see you guys play a match against another team!", you happily shout as you give the captain a thumbs up.

"Fine with me. Which team are we going to ask?", Semi says.

Tendou quickly stands up from the bench, giving Semi an mischievous look as a smirk appears on his face.

"How about we ask Aoba Johsai?", he says.

"You want to play against Seijoh after what happaned at the party?", Aya asks the red-haired boy.

Oh no. No no no. 

If they were going to play against Aoba Johsai, that would mean you were going to meet Oikawa again. Oikawa, the one Semi dispised so much. You glance over to Semi to see what his expressions were like at the moment. It was as you expected: irritated.

"Half of us don't even remember what happened", Aya giggles.

"So? Seijoh then?", Tendou smiles with a satisfied look on his face.

"I'll inform coach about this. He can asks Seijoh's coach. It's a short notice, but who cares", Ushijima says.

Then the bell rings, causing everyone to stand up and walk towards their next class. You were wondering what was going to happen when Semi and Oikawa would face each other tomorrow. Would they act like nothing happened? Probably not. But maybe it's better if the two setters faced each other again before a possible match at the tournament. That would only be worse. You take a deep breath as you enter the classroom.
