Chapter 21: Official

You heard the birds chirp outside, a pleasant sound entering your ears. With a deep sigh, you turn around as you try to go back to sleep again. It's already pretty light outside and that's no good sign ...

Your eyes quickly widen as you jump out of bed. You pick up your clothes from the floor and swing open the door of your closet. You grab your spare uniform and turn your head to the left so you can look at the clock that's hanging on your wall.

7:45 pm.

"Jesus you're making so much noise (y/n)", Semi growls with a deep, raspy voice as he pulls the blanket over his face.

"Dude we're gonna be late for school! Put your clothes on!", you hiss at the boy as you throw his outfit on your bed. "And you have to jump out of the window. My parents can't know that you slept here".

That caught the setter's attention. He pops up his head behind the blanket, squishing his eyes at the bright light that's shining through the window.

"You want me to die or something?", he chuckles while you tie up your hair in a high ponytail.
"Just hurry and jump, you'll be fine", you say. You pull the blanket off him, exposing his naked body that's lying on the matress. You quickly turn around, giving the boy some privacy so he can change.

"Tch...", he clicks with his tongue. "It's not like you haven't seen this before (y/n), no need to look away".

"For god's sake just hurry up will you?", you growl with your arms crossed.

"Someone is grumpy ...", he snickers as he pulls his shirt over his head. "I need to go home first so I can change into my uniform instead of my volleyball clothes, so I'll see you at school I guess?"

You now turn around again so you can look at the grey-haired boy. "I"ll see you there. Don't forget your bag and books", you say as you point towards his stuff that is placed in the corner of your room.

"You look like shit to be honest", Semi giggles as he cups your cheeck with a teasing smile.

"No shit sherlock! You fucking railed me last night and I there wasn't a good opportunity for me to properly remove my make-up, so yes, I look like shit", you snap back, punching him lightly in his chest.

"Okay, sorry sorry! I didn't want to make you mad", he says as he wraps his arms around you, pulling you into a warm and sweet hug.

"Stop dawdling and leave", you giggle as you push him off you.

"Before I go ...", Semi begins. "... what are we?"

Now that's a good question.

"What do you want us to be?", you tease with a big grin on your face.

"Boyfriend and girlfriend obviously. Are you dumb?", he says and he flicks your forehead with his index finger and thumb. "I want to be together with you".

Boyfriend and girlfriend. His words echo in your head.

"Well that's very straightforward ...", you snicker. "Where is Eita Semi and what did you do to him?"

"I'm serious, (y/n). I've liked you since the beginning, but I thought it was kinda weird to tell you since we had just met ...", he says while scratching the back of his neck. The look on his face makes him look like a lost puppy.

"I'd love to be your girlfriend, Eita. I really do", you smile as you grab the collar of his shirt and pull him into a sweet and loving kiss. There was no rush in the kiss. Just a gentle and sweet kiss so the two of you could savour the moment.

You feel both of his hands grab the sides of your face, so he has a better angle to kiss you.

The two of you pull back from the kiss at the same time, resting your foreheads against each other. God, you really were in love.

"So ... are we official now?", he whispers as he cups your cheek.

You smile at the pretty setter and cup one of his cheeks too.

"Yes. Yes we are".

"Wait. Do you hear that?", Semi asks, a wide smirk appearing on his face.

"Hear what?", you asks him as you furrow your eyebrows.

"Your bed. I can tell it's asking for another round".

You nearly choke on your own saliva and punch the boy in the chest, pushing him off you.

"Out", you demand as you point towards the window.

"Make me".

"OUT."

"Okay, okay I'll see you in 20 minutes", he laughs as he walks towards the window.

"FUCK WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!"

Thursday, 2 days before the tournament (present day)

"Can you two like, stop being so lovey-dovey? It makes me wanna puke", Aya growls.

"Semi literally only ruffled my hair as a 'hey there!' You think that's lovey-dovey?", you chuckle as you shove a piece of sushi in Aya's mouth. "I think you're just jealous".

"Iw'm nwot!", Aya yells with her mouth full, causing you to laugh even more.

You, Maya, Naomi and Aya were having lunch together outside. Semi was sitting with the team at another table, discussing things about the game this Saturday. He told you he was getting more nervous about it as the days passed by.

"So Naomi, how are things with you and Iwa? I haven't heard you talk about him for a while ...", you question your friend. Her face turns a bit red and she suddenly starts to play with her food.

"I knew it! Something happened!", Maya shouts. "Spill the tea miss girl".

"Uhh well, you see ... we went on a date last Sunday", she says while staring at the table.

"Okay and? What did you do? I assume you didn't go to church", Aya says.

That question was enough for Maya to spit out her water, immediately covering her mouth with her left hand.

"No dumbass, we didn't go to the fucking church. We went to a drive-in movie. Iwa has a drivers license", she growls. "And you spit on me, Maya. Thanks for that".

"Anything else? Did you guys kiss?", I ask her.

"Uh, we did more than that", Naomi admits as her cheeks flush pink.

"ON A SUNDAY? GOD BLESS THIS GIRL", Aya shouts as she looks up to the sky, doing some crazy weird prayers.

"Can you like, not? Keep it down will you?", Naomi hisses and she gives Aya a punch.

"Did you tell the team? What do they think about this?", Maya asks. "It's their enemy after all ..."

"Girl, you think I would tell the team that we did it? Hell no, I wanna live a few more years if you don't mind".

"But they like Iwaizumi right? He's the only responsible one in Seijoh's team", I state.

"I just don't want to tell them yet. It's not that easy, okay? Just give me some time. We're not official anyways", Naomi replies while standing up from the bench. "Let's go to class or we're going to be late".

"Next time we're going to talk about you and Semi some more (y/n)", Aya smirks while the four of you walk to class. "I wanna know how far the two of you went".

"Ugh, please no. I don't wanna fucking know what those two did in my house".

"Our house", you correct with a grin.

"Whatever (y/n)", your sister says as she crosses her arms, a little smile appearing on her face.
