Chapter 15: The truth

You jumped off the bench, running towards the team with a big grin on your face. Without thinking, you literally attacked Semi with a big hug, wrapping your arms around him as you jump onto the poor boy.

"YOU WERE AWESOME", you yell as you tighten your grasp.

Semi got really flustered by your sudden touch, but he wasn't complaining at all.

"God stop yelling straight into my ear (y/n), you're going to make us deaf someday", he yells as he wraps his arms around you too. You snuggle your face into his chest, enjoying his touch.

"You know I'm still sweaty right?", he laughs as he pushes you off his chest. You glance up to him as you give him a disgusted look.

"I forgot. Now I have to shower again even though I already did that yesterday", you growl as you cross your arms.

"What about me (y/n)? Am I not getting a hug because we lost?", Oikawa whines as he comes walking towards you and Semi.

You turn around to face the pretty setter as you stare into his eyes. A smirk appears on his face as he spreads his arms for you to hug him.

"I hugged Eita because he played well. I guess I don't need to hug you then", you tease as you give him a smirk back. That must piss him off a little bit, right? You hear Semi snicker behind you and Oikawa gives him a glare.

"Why do you call him by his first name? You two aren't dating or anything right?", he says. You can hear that he's irritated.

"Do you have to date someone to call them by their first name? You sometimes call Iwaizumi by his first name too and I don't see you holding his hands."

"That's not the same!", he yells at you.

You giggle at his response to your statement, but you can feel that Semi doesn't like that. It's like a dark aura is spreading from behind your back. Oikawa notices Semi's annoyed face as he gives the setter a wink and turns his face to you again.

"(Y/n) do you want to go on a date with me?", Oikawa suddenly asks.

That left you speechless. 

Did he really just ask you to go on a date with him? Did he? You had no idea what to say. He had probably gone on a bunch of dates before and asking something like that was no big deal at all for the brown-haired captain. But for you... you never went on a date before. It would be your first time ever.

"What did you just ask her?", you hear from behind your back as Semi takes a few steps forward to stop right next to you.

"You heard me Semi", Oikawa grins.

You couldn't go on a date with Oikawa. That would feel like betrayal towards Semi, considering they basically despised each other. Since you and Semi became good friends, you couldn't do that to him. It wouldn't sit right. But deep down, a part of you wanted to go on that date. You knew damn well Oikawa was just a playboy and probably asked this just to mess with you and Semi, but you kind of wanted to go.

"(Y/n) why aren't you saying something? Are you that flustered by my question?", Oikawa teases as he steps a bit closer to you.

"I-I can't go", you stutter as you look him in the eyes. "I can't go, I'm sorry."

"Heh?", is the only thing that comes out of Oikawa's mouth as he raises his left eyebrow with crossed arms. "Don't you mean 'yes I would love to'? I know spelling can be a bit hard sometimes".

"You heard her Oikawa. She doesn't want to go", Semi hisses as he wants to take another step forward but you prevent him from doing so by holding your arm in front of his body.
