Chapter 19: Changes

- Wednesday , 3 days before the Interhigh Qualifiers -

"Time is up you all! Please put down your pen and place the paper on the corner of your table", the teachers says as you quickly scribble your last answers on the paper. With a relieved sigh, you lean into the back of the chair. That test was easier than you thought...

"(Y/n)! How did the test go? Did it go well?", Naomi asks you.

"It did go better than I thought... how about you?"

"I fucked up for sure. I did not exactly study well for this one, because the other subjects are way  more important. It won't really matter if I'm not able to pass this test, because my grades are
good for this subject. The rest of the subjects on the other hand...", she sighs.

The past four school days were completely devoted to tests. The whole school had a sort of test week together and today was the last day. After today you could finally focus on the upcoming tournament for the volleyball team since you didn't need to study anymore.

"Okay students, if you're done you can leave the class. The bell will ring soon, so have a nice day and enjoy your free Thursday and Friday", the teachers says with a smile. "You all deserve a long weekend".

As you get up and pack your things, you notice a tall figure leaning against the doorway of your classroom with his backpack on his shoulder. A smile appears on your face as you sling your bag over your shoulder. "See you tomorrow Aya and Naomi! And unfortunately I'll see you at home", you grumble at your sister.

"Ditching us again for that stupid boyfriend of yours... I'm going to unsister you soon", she says as she clicks her tongue out of annoyance. "You're the one to talk", you say while rolling your eyes. "I gotta go".

You wave your friends goodbye and then walk towards the boy in the doorway, who is standing there with a sweet smile. When you arrive at the doorway, he immediately grabs your waist, pulling you in for a kiss. You move your hand to his chest, grabbing his shirt while kissing him back.

"Hey pretty", Semi says with a smile after he pulls back from the kiss.

You just couldn't get used to this stuff happening in public now. You felt your face getting warmer, still getting used to this new, pleasant feeling.

"Hey handsome, ready to go?", you ask as you grab his hand with a smile.

"Yeah, leave! Get a room you suckers!", Maya yells while gesticulating her finger down her throat.

Semi laughs at her comment and then intertwines his fingers with yours, the two of you leaving the classroom together.

- 1 week earlier -

You and Semi were studying really hard in your room. It had been 2 hours since the two of you started studying and you were becoming more and more tired, slowly losing your concentration. You were laying on your bed, taking some notes and Semi was laying on the floor while he carefully read the text in his book.

"God my brain is full! It can't handle any more information about fucking mitosis", you grumble while aggressively closing your book. "I give up".

"No, you don't. If you fail you'll have to quit being a manager and we don't want that now do we?", Semi says as he throws a pillow to your face.

You turn to your side, resting the side of your face in the palm of your hand as you glance at Semi.

"Can't we just call it a day? Or take a break? I really don't feel like studying anymore and I'm getting hungry", you murmur.
