"I like boys."
In Monstadt, everything seemed fine like usual until you could hear screams at the gate of guards. Some guard got scared by Klee's explosions.
Asides from that, the day was going smoothly with (M/N) going into the tavern. He ordered water and some hash-browns since he wanted to try them with jelly mint separately. The jelly mint was incredibly sweet but he expected that. A hint of mint.
As he was swirling his water around, he heard the backdoor creek open while he sat upstairs. He immediately squinted his eyes at the mask this person was wearing who looked awfully like Diluc.
The person froze immediately when he saw (M/N) who was eating.
(M/N) was too busy eating to care. Who cared if he wanted to play superheroes at night? Simply putting up a finger to his lips and the other nodded in understanding despite. He went back to eating before Diluc came back next to him with some grape juice. (M/N) frowning at the sight.
It was on the house though so (M/N) drank it while wondering why he got such a delicacy."Why grape juice? Dil?" (M/N) asked.
"My name is Diluc, not Dil. Grape juice is a perfectly refreshing drink." Diluc sighed in disbelief.
"Ah, sorry. Oh well, I eventually have to get going. For now, I'm waiting on Kale." (M/N) laughed, finishing his food.
"Has he caught onto me yet?" Diluc asked, swirling his own cup of grape juice, gazing deeply into its dark intoxicating colours, hiding a smile.
"Well, he has a clue but I have not told him. I'm too forgetful anyways. My old age is getting to me." (M/N) excused himself, a smile on his face.
Diluc nodded before going to stand next to (M/N), against the wall. They were both quiet as they didn't have much in common. Well, Diluc barely knew the other. Kaeya liked to keep him away aside from his presence at the tavern. He questioned the reason as well as (M/N)'s real age. It was not long before another person joined the scene.
"Well, well, well, look who's with my cute roommate?" Kaeya entered the scene by clapping his hands while displaying a cocky smug grin to Diluc.
Diluc just groaned in dismay silently before pushing himself off the wall and leaving the floor, not even bothering to talk to Kaeya. The stairs downstairs that creaked slightly, making him wish the stairs would writhe less. He would fix that soon.

"Well, he seems to be in a bad mood as always." Kaeya mocked.
"He was fine with me. He just doesn't like you, maybe you should respect his boundaries." (M/N) proclaimed, close eyed smile present.
"I don't mind, he's just a whiny child. He was cute as a young lad but now he's lost his charm." Kaeya stated.
"Yet, you still pester him. Amusing, isn't it?" (M/N) laughed.
"I just do not particularly want to entertain the idea of him being around you." Kaeya finished.
Chalking that up to a joke, (M/N) ignored what Kaeya said as he got up to pay for his food. He needed to nap badly. He felt quite weak. A mere fragment of his old days.
