"Hey, we did it! We made it to the Jade Chamber!" (M/N) sighed before putting down Lumine and Paimon.

"What... are you doing here?" Xiao stepped forward.

"Huh...Hold on! It's the adepti! What are you doing on the Jade Chamber? Paimon thought you were arguing with the Qixing... Is the fighting over?" Paimon questioned.

"Faced with a calamity of such magnitude, we have agreed to put our differences aside for mow and unite against the common enemy." Ningguang answered.

It was to Moon Carver's displeasure but they agreed to it. Paimon freaked out how the archon war had people like that fighting which Keqing acknowledged by admitting the new guards couldn't even keep themselves upright. All of them had doubts they would be able to do it before Cloud Retainer suggested the idea of using Guizhong Ballista since the Qixing had done research on it once. Only one who knew of the mechanisms could tinker with it into a battle weapon.

Without further hesitation, Ningguang carefully moved her hands and created a platform in front of the Jade Chamber which they could stand on. Three of the Adepti stepped forward to their respective Ballistas and began firing at Osial. Portals began opening and members of the Fatui were stepping out of it so (M/N) resummoned his claymore before hurling it at a Hydrogunner before charging in and fighting alongside Keqing.

Lumine stared at their bravery before summoning her sword and stepping in herself. By her side, Keqing fought using her electro vision while (M/N) was using physical damage to destroy the enemies. Blocking other enemies with a few barriers of vines. He was terrifying already and that was him with him wounded. Through Madame Ping and Ganyu, Lumine became much swifter at fighting but for some reason (M/N) was reacting negatively when the energy was imbued within him.

"My name means swiftness, take my power and run as I do." Xiao ordered.

Lumine felt a lot lighter on her feet as she fought. Her gaze wondering over to (M/N) who was fighting very weirdly. He was throwing a lot of enemies off the platform. They were doing well and the Fatui members finally thinned out but three of Osial's heads come together to form a power ripple of a whirlpool that tore through the sky. The excess water began hitting the platform and destroyed the ballista before cracking the ground.

"Lumine!"

In those moments, (M/N) remembered his promise to protect Lumine so he ran after her as the platform became completely destroyed. They began free falling which made (M/N) begin to see black surround his vision. He didn't have his glider and he was feeling incredibly nauseous. He felt faint with the strength leaving his limbs but Lumine was safe in his arms until he spotted Xiao try to reach out to them. A palm outstretched.

(M/N) knew Xiao wasn't strong enough to carry them both nor was he going to reach them before their bodies smashed into the cold harsh water so while he was spinning in the air, he threw Lumine up the best he could before putting his feet against her back and kicking her upwards to Xiao, grinning like a dumbass.

He wasn't sure what happened next.

A loud splash was swallowed up by the sounds of the thrashing currents that dragged him under and the waves that made salt water hit his eyes that stung. It was a deep blue that was slowly turning red. He thought it was weird because water was meant to be blue, not red... maybe it was his blood. It was most likely his own blood that he was drowning in amongst the strong tidal waves that prevented him from swimming back up. The air was leaving his lungs quickly and his clothes felt overwhelmingly heaving. His hands thrashing about as he tried going up, only to end up further down.
