"My head hurts..." (M/N) mumbled.

"Are you alright?" Lumine asked.

"Yeah, I heard the name Guizhong and my non existent brain started hurting. Where were we?" (M/N) muttered.

A wine jug and utensils adorned the table top nicely, the cover was off to the side where it would have covered food. The one Xiao left behind last time when they were here. Four stone seats that were cool to the touch. Paimon flew down to the seats, brushing off the thick layer of dirt behind them. (M/N) stood next to Lumine while Paimon read them out.

"Ooh, they even have the guests' names carved into the seats, 'Here sits Retainer, here sits Guizhong, here sits Rex and here sits (L/N)..." Paimon began.

"Maybe Rex is short for Rex Lapis? Paimon has no idea about 'Guizhong' or '(L/N)'. As for Retainer, hmmm... that's it! When Moon Carver was going through the name of his Adepti buddies, he said there was one called Cloud Retainer. Wait, where'd (M/N) go?" Paimon asked.

"Cooking."

Never had Lumine been so grateful for a companion's ability to cook. He easily made dishes favoured by the Adeptus, this aided in their journey to meet Cloud Retainer where they were invited into their abode why they were introduced to the Cloud Retainer. All the mechanisms made (M/N)'s head spin before Lumine surmised it correctly.

"In fact, even Guizhong and Rex Lapis found one's technological accomplishments to be worthy of commendation." Cloud Retainer humbled.

"What about (L/N)?" Lumine brought up.

"I've never heard of a (L/N) but I know they were once here, hundreds of years ago from the name marked on some rocks and the name of the seat."

The pounding in (M/N)'s head began again but he brushed it off while Paimon fawned over Cloud Retainer's ability. Lumine having to explain the situation again which led to a small argument breaking out over squashing Liyue Harbour and contracts. It was a big mess that (M/N) had to dissolve by offering more food. The sigil now being more of a keepsake than an aid in battle. A bright smile on (M/N)'s faced managed to pacify Cloud Retainer easily. Something about him could make them melt especially with a cute smile.

No wonder even the cold-hearted emotionless Conquerer of Demons was moved.

Wangshu Inn, is the last location they headed to which is where Lumine and Paimon witnessed (M/N) easily picking up a Lawachurl and throwing them beyond the limits of their eye sight. The Lawachurl kept hurling rocks at them so he got rid of of the root of the problem by throwing the creature. She made a mental check to never piss off the happy go lucky (M/N).

"(M/N) how much can you lift?" Paimon asked somewhat frightened.

"Casually? A house or two but that's it!" (M/N) laughed.

"Y-You're scary strong?!" Paimon asked in surprise.

"Not really, I'm better with my claymore!" (M/N) played it off.

Yeah, he was strong compared to others but nowhere near Boreas or Rex Lapis, he guessed. They took the elevator up until the waited around for Xiao to show up. (M/N) smiling brightly and waving his hands enthusiastically before pointing over towards Lumine. Xiao was busy staring though, at (M/N)'s lower half which he was almost at the perfect height for since he was so short.  He could see an imaginary wagging tail there. Xiao could feel himself soften, shoulders relaxing when his posture loosened.
