"I hate that I can't use the waypoints here."
———

The half wolf huffed but he continued to admire the scenery, with his tail sticking out. He had left the house before anyone was awake since he didn't want to get caught up in anything. Particularly, returning that lyre to the sweet idol who was a nun at a church. Swift movement allowed the scenery to change quickly and the food he had eaten before that reduced his stamina consumption, so he could run more for a longer period of time.

Never had (M/N) been so grateful for being a claymore and a catalyst user since he could farm the ores easily. Cor lapis and Noctilucous Jade in particular. White iron and its off variant were greatly appreciated too. He had been looting chests as well, giving him lots of mora and primogems. The loves of his life. It was a whole day of travelling, beating up Ruin Guards and any treasure hoarder camps before he settled down by a hillside at the road for the night.

The stars glimmered lovely in the dark curtains of the night sky with the moon being the standout centre piece. (M/N) was going to sleep under the stars like he used to do but an abyss mage suddenly put him on high alert. It looked to be very strong. He didn't want to have to spend thirty minutes to break a barrier either. However, the mage wasn't attacking him, instead, it made some weird noises before outstretching a letter to (M/N), which the other took dumbly. It took off without a trace afterwards.

"I can't read in the dark... why did I even bother opening it?" (M/N) huffed before pouting.

The night passed quickly with (M/N) continuing to sleep in the exact spot as before, he was too dumb to move. Well, he wasn't attacked so that was great for him. The day started with him raiding caves, opening chests all over the place and eating some sweet madame chicken, terrorising any treasure hoarders that scammed people.

During the midday, he began making his way to the Wangshu Inn but another abyss mage appeared, leaving the same letter on the ground. It had another letter inside. He should really open the letters by now and he did so but got distracted before he could read it.

"Help me please!"

Someone was screaming out for help while he was trying to read the letter. He felt bad for how loud they were screaming and checked up on them. It was someone getting beaten up by treasure hoarders so he summoned his own claymore, before rushing into the scene. In a few fell swoops and after getting some dirt in his eye with a few potions hitting him, he managed to dismantle the group.

The passerby thanking him but he was busy collecting the drops before talking. He had his priorities straight, well, straighter than he was. Afterwards, the primo loving person continued travelling until he was nearby Wangshu inn but he decided to try the tea in Liyue. Once again, forgetting about the letter. He still wondered why they served hot tea in Liyue which was such a hot place. He did find it somehow to be soothing though, much appreciated.

Speaking of, his clothes were quite unfit for such a hot land. It was great for the night when he could sleep in his coat and stay warm but it wasn't great to be wearing a thick coat with a long sleeve shirt underneath. He would just get clothes suitable in Liyue. He was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't realise an abyss mage was sitting in front of him until he was halfway through his tea.

"Oh hello there, want some tea? Can you even drink tea?" (M/N) absentmindedly offered without fear.

"No, thank you. I have come for an answer to the letters I have given you." The mage asked.
