"First order of business, to make sure my coffin is booked."
———

Happily, (M/N) crossed the streets after entering Liyue through the front gate. He completely ignored the fact that he stood out in the crowd, well he just didn't care. He made a statement, at the very least. He walked all the way to the Wansheng Funeral Parlour. Its

His bright eyes caught onto a familiar figure, Hu Tao who was being lectured by an extremely handsome man. Oh gosh, brown has never looked so good on a person. (M/N) admired the man's appearance before looking at Hu Tao, she was as cheery as ever. He waited by the entrance until someone noticed them and helped him order a coffin. The kind lady seemed very worried why he was getting one when none of his family members had died.

Well about that.

Never mind, (M/N) was busy paying for his coffin when he heard soft footsteps briefly flickering in am out of existence. He turned towards Hu Tao and saw her come rushing at him before leaping into the air. He stretched out his arms and caught her, her laugh bubbling through the quiet air. She hid her face in between (M/N)'s shoulder and neck before pointing at the insanely handsome man. Whining that this unknown person was bullying her, (M/N) blinked in confusion at the lady behind the counter's sigh. Hu Tao continued fake sobbing into his shirt.

He looked familiar too, but he didn't feel like remembering from where.

"Hello, I'm (M/N), here to buy a basket- no- I mean a casket. Like coffin." (M/N) introduced himself.

"I go by many names but I tend to go by Zhongli, consultant of the Funeral Parlour. You seem to be a rather young man, why need a casket so young?" Zhongli asked, taking in the form of the other. He admired the unique clothing (M/N) wore.

"I'm speed running my death? You can never be sure when you'll die so I'm just getting mine early. I don't have to burden anyone with my body when I'm dead." (M/N) said honestly with a goofy smile.

"Are you getting the three for two deal?!" Hu Tao asked passionately, her eyes gleaming in delight.

"Hu Tao, that is not the way to go about this." Zhongli sighed. He could not deal with that child.

"Sadly no, I don't want to get a coffin for any of my friends. I don't want them to die or be hurt in any way. Would you like to go down now, Hot Pau?" (M/N) said before asking Hu Tao and putting her down. She thanked him before taking the opportunity to run off from Zhongli.

Zhongli watched with a calm mind and body as Hu Tao left, most likely to promote the funeral parlour but now he was left with a man that he didn't know too well. That was a lot of mora that he was carrying. He reached out his hand when the Ferrylady passed him the paperwork. To authorise the contract.

Apparently, last time, (M/N) was somehow rejected from getting his own coffin so Zhongli had to approve of it this time. He went to his office to give the sigil of approval. He came out of his office to the duo who were having a chat. He noted the energetic grin and lingering karma around (M/N) but decided not to mention it. He was thanked for his actions before (M/N) left the funeral parlour.

"What a peculiar person, it's rare to see such an energetic person. We should get him a thank you gift for purchasing our coffin."

Zhongli began his journey to find a proper gift. He did this for all his clients and he tried his best to cater to their interests. He didn't want to offend anyone, having good ties and connections always worked best. He ended up not seeing the person for the next two days despite Zhongli wondering the city more frequently. He should have just used elemental vision.
