"Why is it whenever there is trouble, it's you three?"
———

"(M/N) there's only two of us." Paimon laughed pointing at herself and Lumine.

"I can't count." (M/N) answered simply as he shrugged, cheeky grin present.

"So you're telling me, you were going to steal the holy lyre but a fatui mage stole it before you could and now you're being blamed for an act you haven't done?" (M/N) summarised, smiling in amusement.

"In short, yes." Paimon sighed in relief.

"How did we get here?" (M/N) wondered.

———

Well, his day started off rather normally with (M/N) waking up and trying to go back to sleep but he heard a laugh outside that brought him out of it. No one really plays music around here. It was mostly the music being carried from the city. He tumbled out of bed before stumbling down the stairs to head outside. Sleepily, he followed the gentle tune that brought him to an Archon Statue. Ah, he think he knew who it was.

"Bartabos? Bassabos? Bat a boss? Vent-i?" (M/N) struggled with the name.

"Still struggling with my name I see. " The bard amused.

The music came to an abrupt halt, snapping (M/N) out of his sleepy state before looking around only to see a person sitting on a branch nearby, swinging his legs back and forth with the wind. He looked like he fit in with the lush green nature. It's as if (M/N) had stumbled upon a fairy in his natural habitat. Too bad the birds flew away when he stepped closer.

"Oh? You must be the roommate that he mentioned? Such a charming person that I have nearly missed? It's been a very long while." Venti possibly rhymed to (M/N) while the other continued staring, formulating exhausting sentences in his mind.

"His name is Kale- no- Kaeya? As for charming? Well, if you're talking about Kaeya than I agree but if you're talking about me than I am not charming, I'm more boring than charming." (M/N) proudly admitted while praising Kaeya.

"You think so?" Venti questioned.

"I know so, I'm glad to know my flaws. Who are you?" (M/N) said before asking abruptly, pretending his innocence despite the two knowing each other already.

"I'm Venti the Bard. Three time winner of the 'Most Popular Bard of Monstadt', to be precise. So, do you want anything from me?" Venti proudly introduced.

"I just followed your music here. It woke me up. You're really loud." (M/N) shrugged as he cause Venti's ego to deflate before the bard sighed.

"My music? Oh, you're enchanted by little old me? Be careful or I might snatch you up. I'll take you flying and we can soar through the skies."  Venti offered cheekily.

"No thank you, I don't like gliding, I only do it when I need to. I don't like being off the ground." (M/N) rejected completely with disdain while Venti could only stare.

It seemed that (M/N) was that uncomfortable by flying that he decided to leave the whole conversation after chatting for a bit on other matters. He was not budging on this matter.  Venti didn't know (M/N) had a strong fear of heights and could barely last in the air for ten seconds. He knew (M/N) is half Adeptus who may have been a wolf and that led to him only wanting to stay on land.
