Emily: "He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." Emily Brontë.

Emily was sitting in an empty interview room. The woman was just looking outside to the nighttime sky. She had her hand placed over her heart.

"You know you can be more quiet with your footsteps," Emily said over her shoulder. Aaron stood there and sighed softly.

"I didn't want to scare you," Aaron said and kept his eyes down on the ground in front of him. Emily looked back and chuckled.

"I'm immortal. I can't fear anything, remember?" Emily said jokingly. "I'm not afraid of anything anymore."

"I don't think that's true. There's one thing you're terrified of," Aaron said and took a step into the room. Emily raised an eyebrow as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Me."

"I'm not scared of you, Aaron," Emily said and crossed her arms. Aaron tilted his head up as he took a deep breath.

"You're not terrified because I'll hurt you. You and I both know I could and would never lay a hand on you in that kind of way," Aaron said as he walked up to Emily slowly. The woman stood her ground until he was getting too close. "But I know you're terrified of what I'm going to say."

"And what are you going to say?" Emily asked and kept her eyes down at Hotch's tie.

"That I called Beth. I told her I filing for divorce. That she wasn't the woman I wanted," Aaron said and was finally in arms reach of Emily. The woman came to her senses and backed away from him. The back of her knees hit the desk.

"But you didn't. And I'm still with JJ," Emily said and gulped as Aaron stood right in front of her.

"I did. Her and I are going down to the courthouse tomorrow morning. She wants this whole thing over with. She can't stand being second to you," Aaron said as he gently offered his hand out. "She's not the only one I made vows to."

"Hotch—"

"I vowed I would never hurt you to your mother. I broke that one and I'm sorry. I vowed to take care of you the second Foyet came back in my life. I vowed to spend everyday making you happy. I vowed to love you with eye crusts and wrinkles," Aaron said and gently placed his hand onto Emily's face. "I didn't get to say them at the alter. But I'm saying them now. I love you. I'm so sorry for everything. I'm so in love with you, Emily. You're the one I should have married. And I was an absolute idiot for marrying the wrong person."

Emily's eyes filled with tears as Aaron was now gently cradling her face. He didn't want to hurt her anymore. Emily's eyes slowly went down to his lips. The man swallowed loudly as he leaned in.

"Say no if you want me to stop," Aaron said softly. Emily didn't try to stop him as their lips connected. The kiss was everything Emily remembered. The woman melted in his hands at the soft and sweet kiss. Aaron's hands went down to her waist as she pulled him in closer by the back of his neck. Emily's shirt nails dragged down his face as she wanted to be impossibly close to him.
