The Aftermath

One week later after the death of Elvin "Rage" Daryl Haliday people in New York were demanding justice for his death. The news coverage was talking about.

"In other news today, 19 year old Elvin Haliday was brutally murdered by Americop, Bartholomew Gallows. People are demanding justice for his death as Gallows has not been charged with murder or been fired from Keane Industries. His mother, Diane Haliday has spoken to the press on the death of her son." said the newscaster.

"How many more mother's going to lose their son over police brutality? No parent has to suffer this kind of lost. No one!" Diane said.

"Bartholomew Gallows will not be resigned from his police duties as Paul Keane from Keane Industries, who formed the police initiative from his company defend his action." said the newscaster.

"First of all, I didn't think he did anything wrong. That young man was running from Officer Gallows and did not comply. He was trying to do his job." Paul defended him.

Isaiah was watching the the news on tv and Elijah came in.

"You're not going out at night anymore. Do you hear me?" Isaiah said.

"Grandpa--" Eli said.

"Do you hear me?! I'm not gonna lose my grandson over some petty cop bullshit, you hear?" Isaiah exclaimed.

"Yes sir." Eli said.

Sam was watching the news on tv at the bar as Nick Fury walked behind him.

"You know his death wasn't your fault, Captain." Nick said.

"If I was there in time, Elvin was still be alive." Sam said.

"There was nothing you could've done. You gotta stop beating yourself on this. I was there you know." Nick said.

"I didn't know you were there. Is that your new power? Invisibility?" Sam said.

"Also, Harry Hauser has defended Gallows on his show. Here's what he had to say." said the newscaster.

"Elvin Haliday went to Juvie for robbery. People are showing sympathy for a young criminal and trashing Bartholomew. Where's the quality in that?" Harry said.

"I can't listen to that shit." Sam said as he got up and left.

"Sam, I know how you feel about this. I don't trust cops either. Had a run in with them before." Nick said.

"Look, I'm really not in the mood to talk about cops right now. I heard enough about them for one day. Later, Fury." Sam said.

While Eli was walking down the street, as Bart and Harold were driving up behind him. Eli knew they were driving up on him as he look in the corner of his eye. They were slowing up right next to him as he kept walking with his eyes forward.

"Hey. Hey, kid!" Bart said as both of them stop.

"Yes, sir?" Eli said looking at Bart.

"You're not one of those 66 Bridges Gang are you?" Bart asked.

"No, officer." Eli said.

"You're not lying to me, are you son?" Bart said as he got out of the car and walk towards Eli.

"No. I'm brutally honest." Eli said.

"I'm gonna need to see some I.D." Bart said.

"I don't have it on me." Eli said.

"Is that so." Bart said as he turn Eli around and slam against wall.

"Ahh. Is this really necessary?" Eli said while straining.

Bart searched him and spread legs. Onlookers were filming them as Harold tries to stop him.

"Bart, they're watching." Harold warned him as Bart was looking at people with their phones at filming him.

"You're real lucky this time. Just stay out of trouble, kid. I'll be seeing you around." Bart said to Eli as he look at his reflection on his armored face mask.

They drove away as Eli sighed for relief.

The next day, Sam was walking in Manhattan with his shades on and then he got a phone call from Fury.

"Fury, look. I know you're trying show pity on me, but..." Sam said on the phone.

"Remember when Rhodes's sister fell from her apartment building?" Nick said.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that. What's up?" Sam said.

"I found your guy." Nick said.

Sam was able to call Rhodey while he was in Washington.

"Sam. What's up, man?" Rhodes answered.

"Rhodey, I think we found the guy that killed your sister." Sam said.

"You think? It's about damn time." Rhodes said.

"Fury got some information." Sam said.

"Okay, I'll be on the jet first thing tomorrow morning." Rhodey said.

"Alright, later brother." Sam said.

The next day, Sam and Rhodey went to Brooklyn, where Fury had a secret underground base base in a demolished house. They went to the base as they look around.

"So Fury just randomly putting secret bases anywhere now?" Rhodey said.

"Where else could he put it? The S.H.I.E.L.D. building is destroyed remember?" Sam said as they were greeted Maria Hill.

"Rhodes. My condolences to your sister, Rhode." Maria said.

"Thanks. It's about time somebody got something. Unlike the police." Rhodes said.

"Gentlemen. So glad that you can join us." Nick said.

"I'm glad to, I'm just ready to find the bastard who murdered Jeanette." Rhodes said.

"Alright, just slow your engines, Iron Brother. We're getting to you?" Nick said.

"You alright, man?" Sam said.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm good. What you got Fury?" Rhodes said.

A hologram appears on the table showing a profile of Baron Mordo.

"He was known as Karl Mordo, but now he goes by Baron Mordo." Nick Fury said.

"Well that figures. Trying to change identities after murder. That's real smart." Sam said.

"Mordo was part of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, where he was training future sorcerers." Nick Fury said.

"Dr. Strange was one of them." Sam said.

"He suffered from a lot of tragedies in his life before he became a Master. He went to Kamar-Taj in order to gain revenge for his loss, although he was initially disrespectful to the teachings and way of life he found there. He was trained by the Ancient One and became a Master, putting aside his desire for revenge." Maria said.

"Until, he found out that the Ancient One was using powers from the Dark Dimension, he felt betrayed and broke down. Which causes him to turned his back on the Mystic Arts and doing good. He also might be the cause for the death of other sorcerers." Nick said.

"Rhodey, do you think your sister was a..." Sam said.

"No, no. She couldn't be. She was completely ordinary. With ordinary problems." Rhodey said.

"Well, maybe there was somethings you didn't know about your sister. And I think you should get those answers yourself." Fury said.
