Not So Easy

In Norway - The New Asgard, Thor has appointed Valkyrie as the monarch of New Asgard as he went on to figure out who he is. Valkyrie has been six year sober and trying to hold down the fort, but things as the new "King" haven't been easy for her.

One morning when she was walking she saw a graffiti wall saying, "Never To Valkyrie" She sighs and kept on walking. Most of the men in Asgard don't want her as the new ruler, despite Thor's decision. Some people say she not fit to be ruler or King and said, "Thor has choice wrong king. " And "why did Thor choice her? A slave trader?" said an Asgardian.

"I am not a slave trader anymore. I've changed my ways." Valkyrie said.

"Yeah, right. That's what they all say. Some excuse for a Valkyrie who couldn't save her own people." said an Asgardian.

The remark made Valkyrie furious to engage at the Asgardian and punched him. Leaving to a bloody nose. The Asgardians stare as Valkyrie backs up toward her shack. She walks in, shuts her door and breathe rapidly as she was having a panic attack of the flashback to the Massacre of the Valkryies.

"Damn it." Valkyrie said.

At night, most of the Asgardians were having a meeting tonight in the barn on voting Valkyrie out as King after what happened today.

"Did you see what she did to me? The lass punched me in my face." Said the Asgardian.

"I knew something like this is going to happened. This was Thor's biggest mistake to make a Valkyrie the new leader." said another Asgardian.

"Well, she is a Valkyrie. She is a warrior." said a young Asgardian.

"Who couldn't save her own women." said another Asgardian.

"We need to take a vote. Who in here would like to have the Valkyrie out of the throne?" said the another Asgardian as everyone in the room agreed.

"Yeah. Have her out!" said another Asgardian as the rest agreed.

Valkyrie heard the meeting outside of the barn and looked down. She went back to her shack with a tear running on her face.

"I'm sorry, Thor. I tried, but I'm not like you. You're The King of the Asgard and I'm just a sober up Valkyrie with a traumatic past who sold you. Why did you picked me?" Valkyrie said to herself.

"Maybe, because you are fearless?" Korg said, while standing by the door.

"Korg. Miek, What are you two doing here?" Valkyrie said.

"Just came to check on you. We heard that there's a meeting about you. And it doesn't sound too pleasing." Korg said.

"I know, I heard. I went there." Valkyrie said.

"Look, I know it's not easy being a ruler. Which I don't know, because I never had an experience on being King, but I heard you was like a leader. Maybe that's why Thor choose you." Korg said.

"I was a leader. I don't wanna talk about it." Valkyrie said.

"Okay, then. I thought you don't drink anymore." Korg said as he notice a beer bottle on her table.

"I don't. That's old bottle when I use to drink. I forgot to throw it out." Valkyrie lied.

"Well, is there anything else we can do?" Korg said.

"No, I'm fine, guys. I need to get some rest." Valkyrie said.

"Okay. Hang in there, V." Korg said.

"Thanks." Valkyrie said.

"Goodnight." Korg said as Valkyrie closed the door.

The next morning in Detroit, Sam came to speak at a America The Free Rally. Sam Wilson flew down to the city and the Mayor of Chicago greets him.

"Sam. Thank you for coming back and to the great citizens of Chicago watching today. I must reinforce that our streets are getting safer everyday." said the Mayor.

"Pleasure to be here, Mayor. The crime rate in Chicago is higher at risk. Along with local law enforcement and community leaders, I'm hoping to help heal this situation." Sam said.

Sam got up to stand as the protestors and activist listen to his speech.

"America has no simple solution as gang problem. Poverty, Mass Incarceration, Unemployment and Educational Inequalities. But what was born out of Dysfunction can, itself, become functional today is a prime example." Sam said, but then there was a commotion in the audience by two gang rivals.

One of the anti Sam Wilson protestor, try to shoot Sam, screaming "Traitor!" But he blocks the bullet with his wing. People were screaming and panicking.

"Everybody stay calm!" Sam said on the mic.

He look on his google and flew to a wounded member who was bleeding. Although, Sam has negative views on the shooter. He look through his google see the shooter on the run. Sam flew away as police try to catch up with him. He hide in a alley, but Sam caught him, by throwing his shield at him.

"Why were you shoot at a peaceful rally?" Sam grabbed him and pinned him on the ground.

"Argh." The shooter said.

"It's scums like you who make him sick!" Sam aggressive said to the shooter.

"Hey! You're hurting me!" said the shooter.

"Are you scared, now? You think you're tough, huh?" Sam said aggressively.

"Thank you, Captain Wilson, but we can take it from here." the officer said.

"How's the guy?" Sam asked.

"Dead." said the officer.

In Washington D.C., James Rhodes sat down to have a meeting with Secretary Ross.

"You should have cleared it through my office before you made any overtures." Ross said.

"Yes, Ross, but you've had ample opportunity to work with both the rangers and the kings and things have only worsened." Rhodey said.

"Look, Rhodes, I respect you for everything you done for this country. I know you're still torn up about Stark, but next time you're out there..." Ross said as James stop him.

"I don't know if there's going to be a next time. I think it's time to put up the armor suit." Rhodey said as he was planning on retiring.

"Wait a minute. You're not saying what I think you're saying. Are you?" Secretary Ross said.

"It's my decision, Ross. It's for the best and for everyone." Rhodey said.

"I'm worried about you, Rhodey." Ross said.

"Well everybody always worried about something nowadays." Rhodey said as he left the meeting.

"Rhodes Rhodes! What the hell is happening to him?" Ross said to himself.
