The Truth

Sam was working Miles and Eli hard on their training skill.

"Don't you think we had enough training?" Miles said as he was out of breathe.

"You got potential, kid. You both do. But do you think you can fight all these bad guys off." Sam said.

"I did once." Miles said.

"Yeah, Sam. I seen him in action." Eli said.

"But I haven't seen you in action." Sam said.

"You can look it up on YouTube." Eli said.

"Fair point. But can you two do a sneak attack." Sam said as he knocks them both down.

"Again." Sam said as he knocks them both down again.

"Can you be strong? Disciplined--" Sam said.

"Sam, my dad is a cop. You don't think I'm disciplined?" Miles said.

"Above all, no matter how many times you get hit, can you get back up? An Avenger always get up no matter what. Come on, boys. You can do it." Sam said as the boys are knocked down repeatedly.

"Sam! Give us a break." Eli exclaimed.

"You right. I'm sorry. Maybe I've been a little bit hard. Take five, you two." Sam said.

"How about a ten?" Miles said.

Rhodey, T'Challa, Okoye and Valkyrie came in and tell them they need to investigate more on the Americops initiative.

"Sam, we gotta go and check the Americops program out more." Rhodey said.

"Okay. I'll be right there. Hey guys. When we get back we'll be working twice as more on your fighting skills." Sam said.

"Shuri stay here with the boys." T'Challa said.

"We'll be right back guys. No messing around this time." Rhodey said as they both left the base.

When they went to the elevator, Rhodey ask Sam about the boys training.

"So, how did the training go?" Rhodey asked.

"I'm going to be more honest with myself about this. It's obviously they are not ready. They're just kids. But if they can't do this, we have to do it for them." Sam said as the elevator moves up.

Miles was sitting down as he heard what Sam was saying.

"How did yours go?" Eli asked Shuri.

"My brother nearly broke my collar bone." Shuri groaned.

"Really? Sam nearly knock us down a couple of times. You straight, Miles?" Eli asked.

"I just heard, Sam. He think that we're not ready to this type of stuff because we're kids." Miles said.

"So what? We kicked ass before he recruited us." Eli said.

"That's not the thing. Maybe he's right. I don't think I can this. It never was for me." Miles said as he got up.

"Where are you going?" Eli said.

"I'm going home." Miles said as he got in the elevator.

"What? You're going to get us both in trouble." Shuri said.

"So. He wasn't gonna let us do this, anyway." Miles said as the elevator closed and went up.

While walking down the neighborhood in Brooklyn, Miles decide to call his mom.

"Hey, mami. I'm back in the city." Miles said on the phone.

"Oh good. I miss you so much, already." Rio said.
