Meet Up

The next morning, Miles was packing his stuff for training with Sam Wilson and the other Avengers.

"Miles! You finish packing for camp?" Jefferson exclaimed.

"Yeah." Miles said as he got all his stuff including his Spiderman costume.

He walked out of room and his dad said, "If you want me to drive you to drive to you to Ganke, we need to go now. I'm late."

"Oh no no no. Dad. I 'll walk. I need the exercise." Mile said.

"Personal Chauffeur going once." Jefferson said as he help Miles grab his bag.

Rio gives Miles a goodbye kiss.

"Mom, I gotta go." Miles said.

"In a minute." Rio said as she kiss him one more time.

"Alright, mom. I gotta go. Bye." Miles said as he walk down the front porch.

"Papi! Llamame! See you Friday!" Rio said.

"Okay, mami. Hasta luego!" Mile said as he took off.

Miles struggles down the street with his heavy bag, while trying to find Sam and Eli.

"Where is he?" Miles said as he heard two honks.

"Hey, kid! Do you know where I can find a Miles Morales?!" Sam exclaimed out the window of his rental car.

"Hey, Miles!" Eli shouted out.

He gets in the car with them as the three were headed to upstate New York. At a red light, Miles see's his dad, Jefferson driving the police car next to him.

"Oh no!" Miles hid under the seat.

"What is it, Miles?" Eli said.

"It's my dad. He's right next to us." Miles said.

"Your dad is a cop?" Eli said.

"Yeah. Mr. Wilson can you speed up?" Miles said.

"No can do, Miles. Have to obey the laws of the road." Sam said as he turn his head at Jefferson.

"Sam?" Jefferson said.

"Hey, Officer Davis." Sam greeted.

"Sam! How you doing?" Jefferson said.

"Trying to live well. How about you? How you holding up?" Sam said.

"Just trying to hang in there. After that Elvon kid. It's been hard on us for the police." Jefferson said.

"Well, hang in there. This will all be over soon." Sam said.

"I hope so. Take care of yourself and the city." Jefferson said.

"I will. You too, Jeff." Sam said as the light turn green drove.

While driving for thirty minutes to Upstate, the two boys were bored.

"Are we there, yet?" Miles ask while being bored.

"No, not for another hour."  Sam said.

"Great, now my headphones are dead." Miles said.

"Don't worry about that, kid. I got some playlist on this radio." Sam said as he played The Trouble Man soundtrack by Marvin Gaye.

"Yo, what is this, man?" Eli said.

"Yeah, Mr. Wilson. What kind of playlist is this?" Miles said.

"Y'all really make him feel old right now. It's Marvin Gaye Trouble Man soundtrack." Sam said.
