Opening the blinds to another beautiful day, Y/N couldn't help the scowl she sent the falling snow. As much as she appreciated the beauty of winter, she hated the havoc it was reeking on her flower garden.

All of her hard work over the spring and summer had now withered down to a sludgy mess of dead chrysanthemums and fading grass.

Their love seat was covered in snow and fallen leaves and their hot tub and pool had seen better days.

With working a lot more hours than she would have liked, she knew it was necessary in making the poker club a success.

Although she was lucky that most of the local players had followed her to the new club, she found herself working an ungodly amount of hours, causing her to have to take Ava out from under Daniel and even persuade Alex to get back into the poker industry.

Even with having two assistants to help, she felt that as the manager that she should always make herself available. Even if it was taking its toll on her.

Now she understood why Daniel always looked so frazzled.

The poker industry in the US alone saw an unprecedented amount of growth since she began in the business, seeing the poker clubs pulling in an incredible revenue of over $2 billion countrywide last year and it was only going to magnify.

She knew she was in the right place if she wanted success, but with the growing custom brought growing obligation. Something she wasn't too sure she could handle anymore.

Working in the casino, she always had the management and owners to fall back onto if she ever thought she needed help.

But with her being the manager, and her best friends and fiancé being the owners, she started to feel overwhelmed, like maybe she wasn't cut out of it anymore.

"Beautiful? Where are you?"

Hearing Jimin's voice echoing through the halls of their stately home, she called out to him from the sunroom, watching as he smiled wide as he joined her, stealing a sip of her tea she was holding before pressing his lips to hers.

"I need to leave so early." He groaned, wrapping her up in his arms as she turned back to look out to their vast garden.

Jimin was investing in a lot more companies as of late, taking a lot more plunges with smaller companies all over the country that he saw potential in and had a hunch about.

They had all worked out well for him so far. Other than the one company that had an idea for shipping goldfish through fedex. But they don't mention that hiccup.

He was also entering a lot more poker tournaments than usual.

After giving up his obvious win to Jungkook that time in the Bahamas, Jimin made more of a name for himself. Mostly from the other professionals talking bad about him to anyone that would listen, saying how he was losing his touch and made himself look like a rookie.

That one stung the most.

To know that he was now being looked down upon in his profession lit a fire inside of him, making him feel like he had to prove himself as the champion he once was.

So every weekend and sometimes during the week, Y/N would find herself alone in their home, only receiving the odd text from him to update her on his progress on the tournaments that weren't being televised.

This caused quite a stir in their own poker club, with the players catching wind that the owner of the place was entering and winning national tournaments, they apparently felt that it would help them step up their own luck.

"Where's the tournament this time?" Y/N asked, leaning her head back onto his chest as he lovingly swayed them both side to side.

"Pennsylvania." He breathed out. "I think I'll just drive and stay overnight. Just come back in the morning."

"Okay." Y/N nodded, dropping her eyes to her cup of tea before downing its remaining contents. "And when and where is the next one?"

"Florida on Wednesday. I know you don't like me to disappear during the week. But this is a big game and I can't miss it. You understand, right baby?"

"I do."

She doesn't.

She doesn't understand why he can't just ignore the hurtful whispers from his peers. It's not like he needs the money. He is purely putting himself and her through this for the sake of his ego.

"When is the next meeting with the wedding planner?" Jimin asked, letting go of her and walking away towards the living room as she followed behind.

The wedding.

Scheduled for the summer, they had only selected the venue, the bridal party and the groomsmen. Everything else was a complete mystery. They didn't know who they were inviting, the menu, or even the song for their first dance.

And although they still had six months, Y/N felt like it was approaching too fast. She hadn't even had time to look at dresses other than scrolling through online boutiques when she had five minutes to herself. They had decided to hire a wedding planner to alleviate some of the stress.

A petite man that claimed to be born and bred in Brooklyn. Franck Eggelhoffer.

His thick Eastern European accent said otherwise. But not wanting to embarrass the man or question his citizenship, you kept quiet. Especially because he was amazing at his job.

But only when the two of you could make a decision. Which you were yet to make any of other than the three already mentioned.

"Tomorrow." She replied, following him into the foyer as he grabbed his travel case and jacket. "At Two."

"Okay." Jimin nodded, stuffing his feet into his shoes before jogging back over to her and giving her a lingering kiss. "Wish me luck baby."

"Good luck!" She yelled, leaning on the doorframe as she watched him pushing the heavy snow from his windshield. "Drive safe! I love you!"

"I love you!" He yelled back, throwing his case into the trunk before opening the driver's door.

"You're gonna make it tomorrow right? At two, with Franck?"

"I'm not so sure baby." He shook his head. "I'll have to see how late the tournament runs tonight."

Climbing into the car, he wound down the window as he noticed his girl shuffling her feet, her gaze on the floor as sadness overtook her features.

"Beautiful?" He called out, making her lift her eyes to look at him. "I'm sorry. You know I love you but this tournament is really important. You understand don't you?"

She didn't.
