Y/N believed she had given Taehyung the best advice. That being to keep his mouth shut and tell the other perpetrator to do the same.
It was exactly what he said it was. A mistake, a slip up and something that shouldn't have happened and never will again. So to save heartache, Y/N told him to keep it to himself.
Honestly of course is always the best policy, but not when it can ruin people's lives.
She didn't feel right holding onto the secret however and neither did Jimin. But they figured they had enough going on in their own lives and Tae's mistake was not something they wanted to add to the list.
So everyone agreed that they will all take this secret to their graves.
Today was Yoongi's birthday so everyone agreed to just chill out at the poker club seeing as Y/N was going to be working anyway. And they all owned the place so they could do whatever the hell they wanted there anyway without having to worry about getting kicked out.
Jimin drove as usual. Since Y/N's bump was getting much larger, he didn't like the thought of her driving anywhere. Just the thought of the steering wheel pressing into Bun gave him anxiety. So he was there, day or night to drive her to and from work.
He was a bit apprehensive about actually spending the night in the club however. The only reason he was doing so well with getting over his addiction was because he had managed to stay away from poker completely. He didn't know how he would cope spending the night surrounded by it. But with Y/N by his side, he hoped he would be okay.
Y/N however was using this opportunity as some kind of test. She had heard from Jimin that his addiction meetings had been going well, but she could see in his face when the mention of hanging out at the poker club came up that he was having doubts.
But she was in no condition for him to be lying to her. She was now 24 weeks pregnant, over half way. And if he wasn't getting better already, she didn't know if he ever would.
Sifting through her bag on her lap for the keys to the club as they pulled up outside, she smiled at Jimin as he shut the engine off, giving him the reassurance that she was by his side.
"I'm glad you finally gave up wearing heels to work." He commented, taking her bag from her so she can unfasten her seatbelt.
"It wasn't practical." She mumbled, stepping out of the car and waiting for him to join her. "The baby bump is getting so big now I almost toppled over the last time I wore them. Flats are definitely much safer for now."
"You still look beautiful either way." He smiles at her, taking her hand as they walk towards the building.
They still hadn't had the talk. Neither wanted to bring up the subject of their relationship for fear of the other not being on the same page. So they just went with the flow. Both letting the other be as affectionate with them as they wanted, not pushing the other away and spending as much time as they could together. They did however come to blows when they were shopping for cribs. Y/N mentioned getting two of the same so that Bun was comfortable wherever she was. Jimin thought she meant one for the nursery and one for their bedroom or the living room when she actually meant two, one for each house.
That didn't sit well with Jimin. He didn't want his daughter being carted from one house to another, not having a solid home environment. Which led to another argument about why Y/N won't just move back in with him.
They only bought one crib that day. But Y/N didn't sleep over that night.
As the night went on and the poker players began to show up, Y/N made sure to keep an eye on Jimin, watching his reaction to the sound of money being exchanged around him. Thankfully the rest of the friends group had shown up all bar one and they were doing their best to keep him occupied whilst Y/N worked.
Leaving Ava in charge for a moment, Y/N went to take her break, flopping down on the sofa beside Jimin as he smiled softly at her.
"Having fun?" She asked, taking his soda from his hand and having a sip.
"Honestly?" He winced. "It's tough. I don't feel like I have the urge to gamble however, I just feel like I'm missing out on the game. I started playing poker all those years ago because I actually just enjoy playing. It just all got out of hand. I just miss the feeling of actually playing probably. But It's for the best."
With a small smile on his lips, he rested his hand on top of her bump that was protruding out from the front of her dress, giving himself a reminder of why he is going through everything he was.
But he was also proud of himself. Although it was hard, he hadn't caved. And that was a sign that he was making progress.
"If you miss the game Jimin I am more than happy to play with you at home. Just for fun, no money involved."
"Then what would we be playing for?"
"Clothes." She grinned, laughing a little when the realisation spread across his face.
"Can we go home now?" He asked with excitement, ready to blow off his friends in the prospect of watching her get naked in front of him.
His thoughts were cut by Yoongi squeezing into the seat next to him, spilling some of his whiskey on Jimin's lap before giving him a not so apologetic smile.
"Are you good?" Jimin asked, raising his eyebrows at the drunk man that was staring at him.
"She didn't come." Yoongi mumbled, looking around at his groups of friends surrounding him. "It's my birthday and she didn't fucking come."
"Haven is in her own little bubble Yoongi and you know that." Y/N cut in. "Her not coming here is probably just a sick way of her trying to dominate you. She's probably already waiting at your house dressed head to toe in leather with a flogger in her hand. Don't think too much about it."
"Yeah well we have been arguing a lot more than usual lately." Yoongi sighed. "I dunno, I just feel that there is something off with her. She's more distant than usual. Do you think me asking her to move in has scared her away?"
"Probably." Y/N shrugged. "She is the Peter Pan of our group. Never wanting to grow up."
"You're right." Yoongi sighs before standing to his feet and clearing his throat, grabbing everyone else's attention. "GUYS! I just want to thank you all for coming here tonight. I never really cared about birthdays until you all forced me to, so thank you for giving me an excuse to get fuckied up drunk, even if the one person out of all of us that is supposed to care the most about me is a selfish bitch and couldn't even be bothered to show her face. We are all like one big family now. One big fucked up, dysfunctional family, but family nonetheless. I love you assholes."
"Cheers." Everyone yelled, laughing as Yonngi falls back into his seat and gives Jimin a sloppy kiss on the cheek.
Standing to her feet and smoothing out her dress, Y/N grabs a few of the empty bottles from the table, catching Tae's eyes as she looks over at him.
"Are you okay?" She whispers, frowning when Tae shakes his head at her.
She knew he was having a tough time being around everyone with such a dark cloud hanging over his head, but she thought he was handling it just fine. That is until he grabbed his jacket and slipped out of the door without even uttering goodbye to anyone.
