Hearing the bell for the gate opening, Jimin jolts up from the sofa, wondering if Tae had decided it was time for yet another ear bashing. For the past two weeks, Taehyung had constantly shown up out of the blue, just to tell Jimin how much of an awful job he was doing trying to prove himself, but mostly, he would tell him how good Y/N was doing without him.

It was nice to hear that she was doing okay and that she was healthy, but it also caused a sharp pain in his chest to know that she was doing just fine without him.

As selfish as it is, he wanted her to be having a hard time without him. So much so that it would mean that she would come back to him sooner, that she, like him, was suffering from them being apart.

But as Jimin sluggishly pulled the door open expecting to see Dr Phil, his eyes lit up at the site of his girl trudging up the driveway with a suitcase in one hand and Cleo's cat carrier in the other.

Feeling like his heart would jump out of his chest, he rubbed his eyes thinking the sight before him was a mirage, a miracle. She was coming home.

"Are you gonna help me or what Park Jimin?!" He heard her yell, snapping him out of his daze before he ran to her.

She's back, She's back.

Was looping around in his mind like a bird song as he sprinted towards her. Waiting for the part like in the movies where she would drop her bags and begin running also before leaping into his arms as he spun the pair of them around before passionately kissing each other and living happily ever after.

But as he got closer, his heart sank as she lifted both of her arms, dropping the bags into his hands before walking past him towards the house.

"All this just for a weekend." She grumbled. "You're driving me home after my parents leave. I'm not carrying this stuff back again."

"Or you could just not go back." Jimin shrugged, walking behind her as Cleo let out a loud meow and the sound of his voice.

Turning to look at him, her eyes were sharply narrowed before she turned and started walking again.

"Too soon Jimin." She sang, skipping up the steps and into the home.

She had to admit, it was nice to be back. She missed their home, it was full of happy memories but sadly as of late, too many sad ones that she would just rather forget. She had wondered if Jimin had taken her advice and seeked the help he needed but she didn't want to push it. As the saying goes, you can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped. She had done her part, she gave him the nudge, provided him the information he needed to get help, now it was down to him to utilize it.

But she wouldn't let their situation get her down, not today. She hadn't seen her parents in six months and them coming to visit this weekend was just a happy coincidence that it matched perfectly with her and Jimin having some news to share.

She still understood that he didn't want any of their parents to know about their relationship. It was their business after all. And they were trying to fix things. She had made it clear that her decision wasn't set in stone, that there was still a chance for them, so she also thought that there was no point in making their parents worry over something that could turn out to be nothing.

Only if Jimin had made no progress by the time the baby came, then she would tell them and their relationship would be over for good.

Smiling as she watched Jimin pulling Cleo out of her carrier and swinging her around like a toddler, Y/N knew that even if they couldn't be together as a couple, she would still have a great friend in him. Although he's currently fighting his demons, Jimin was still the sweetest kindest man she knew. He just forgot himself for a moment.

"My parents will be here by six." She told him before kicking off her shoes. Jimin looked over to her and nodded, glancing at the clock before smiling widely.

If they are here at six, why is she here at one? He thought to himself before following her into the living room with Cleo still in his arms. She wants to spend time with me.

"Is the chef here? I'm starving." She sighed as she flopped on the sofa, turning on the TV and making herself comfortable as she flicked through her Netflix login trying to find the drama she was watching the last time she was here.

"Yep." Jimin nodded. "I'll get him to make you a sandwich, no cheese."

"And a p_"

"Peppermint tea." Jimin cut with a chuckle. "I remembered you were drinking those now."

After lunch, Y/N found herself close to dozing off as Jimin sat on the sofa opposite her, glancing at her every now and then, laughing to himself every time her head rolled back.

For the past week, she had been suffering from terrible dizziness. It was like it was constant, only giving her a break when she was asleep. She had done some research and discovered that it is pretty normal in the early stages, but if it continued she would have to be checked out. But that didn't mean it wasn't terrifying.

Groaning as another wave of the spins hit, she held her hand over her eyes waiting for it to pass, hoping that this one wouldn't last long enough for Jimin to notice something was wrong.
But as soon as she opened her eyes, she was met with his worried ones as he stood over her, pulling her hand away from her face before crouching down to her level.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm okay. I'm just a little dizzy, that's all."

"Oh thank god." Jimin sighed. "It's totally normal. I read it in one of my baby books."

"You have baby books?" She raised her eyebrows at him as he nodded proudly before shuffling over to the coffee table and pulling a book out from the shelf underneath.

"I have lots. For all stages of the pregnancy as well as postnatal ones. I joined some new mommy groups online too. I don't suggest you do that though. The new mommy's are very... graphic."

Grimacing as he recalls his mistake of agreeing to join a video chat with some of them thinking he would learn new things, he still struggles to get the image of someone's stitches out of his mind until he hears Y/N giggling beside him as she flips through the pages of the book.

"You even marked some of the pages." She coos, dropping the book in her lap and looking at him fondly. "It is really sweet what you are doing Jimin. You know, learning these things. Most men don't want to be involved."

"I'm not most men Y/N, you know that. And no other man has the prospect of winning you back."

Staring at each other for a moment, they forget for just a second that they are broken up, wondering why neither one of them is leaning in for a kiss.

"I need a nap." Y/N whispers, swinging her legs off of the sofa and standing before him. "Will you take my bag to our room?"

"Will you take my bag to our room?"
