After receiving the call from Tae telling her it didn't go so well, Y/N was a bundle of nerves waiting for Jimin to come home. If he were to bother coming back at all. Tae had reassured her that Jimin wasn't under the assumption that she was the one that initiated the ambush, but she still wasn't sure how Jimin would act towards her after Tae informed her that he had stormed out of his home.

Jimin's fuse had been short lately. Saturday night at the club being a prime example.

Wincing at the sound of your front door slamming shut, you could hear the echo of his shoes pounding on the hardwood floors giving you an instant indication that he hadn't yet calmed down.

"Baby?!"

"In here."

Sitting up straight as she heard his footsteps approaching her, the sofa she was sitting on suddenly felt like a bed of nails as all of her hairs stood up on end.

Every moment as he closed the distance between them seemed to last forever, as if time stood still as he charged towards her with a thunderous look in his eyes. She had never thought of him as a violent man, but the way his eyes glued to hers as soon as she looked at him from over the back of the sofa had her physically shaking.

Walking around the sofa, he was soon stood over her as she looked up at him, swallowing thickly awaiting the first blow.

Dropping to his knees in front of her, her body flinched out of instinct as soon as he lunged towards her. But instead of feeling any pain, all she felt were his arms wrapped tightly around her as he breathed in her perfume.

"What happened?" She asked, playing dumb.

"We're okay right, beautiful?" He mumbled into her neck, rubbing his nose along the exposed flesh making her body relax in his hold.

Now she felt like a fool for thinking he would ever physically harm her. He was never the type to take his anger out on her in a physical way. The look in his eyes wasn't rage, it was worry.

"What makes you think that we're not?" Y/N asked, pulling away from him slightly so that she could look at him. "Did something happen at Tae's?"

Of course she knew everything that had happened. Tae had practically given her a play by play. She just wanted to hear Jimin's side. How he felt about what he had heard and if he agreed with them. Even if it was only a little, it was a start.

"Those bastards cornered me." He scoffed, "They had the audacity to accuse me of having a gambling addiction. Can you believe that?! Me! They just don't understand that whilst they get to play for fun, I have to play. It's my job. No one ever accuses Tae of being addicted to cars when he spends more hours in the office, so why am I being accused of having a problem just because I've suddenly become busy with work? Poker is work for me."

"I understand that baby." She whispered, brushing his hair away from his face. "But don't you think it has been taking up an awful lot of time lately? I mean, you're out of the house more than you're in it."

"Oh so you agree with them?" He scoffs, sitting back on his heels. "You think I have a problem too?"

"Well no, but it's heading that way. Jimin, I love you with everything I have but lately, I feel like I'm taking a back seat to poker."

"You feel neglected." Jimin whispers as she nods in agreement. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't even realise."

"It's okay." She smiled. She was happy that he had finally realised her feelings. She didn't want to seem needy, but She missed him. She just wanted the old Jimin back. The one that couldn't get enough of her. "Of course I don't mind you playing poker. Like you said, it's your job. But maybe just stick to tournaments and slow down on the cash games?"

"I can do that." He nods, standing to his feet pulling her up with him and embracing her. "How about we start tonight? Movies and takeout in our birthday suits like we used to?"

"Deal." She grinned, now being the one nuzzling her nose into his skin.

Pinching the skin under her chin, he brings his lips to hers in a tender kiss caressing her cheek as she melts into his arms.

He was back.

The sweet tender attentive Jimin was back and this kiss told her everything she needed to know. The way he would savour every inch of her lips would make every kiss they shared feel like their first. The chivalist man that held his urges at bay that night whilst they stood on her porch was the man she fell in love with and she was happy that he was not becoming a lost cause.

"I'll order some food and you pick out the movie." He smiled at her as he released her from his arms.

Smiling to herself as he left the living room, she felt the relief was over herself.

She knew tonight could have gone one of two ways. He could have finally cracked and left her and everything they had built together and choose to spend his time gambling his life away.

Or it could have gone just how it had. Perfectly.

True to his word, the two of them spent the night completely naked under a mountain of blankets. Snuggled up on the sofa watching movies eating as much junk food as they could stomach, it's not the typical life you expect from a multi millionaire. But sometimes, it's the little things that make it perfect.

Y/N was embarrassingly close to tears on a few occasions throughout the night, just blaming it on the movie anytime Jimin asked if she was okay. She couldn't remember the last time she was this happy and content. But there was still some doubt niggling inside of her. Although it was perfect right now, was it going to last? Or was it just the calm before the storm?
