Hello dearies!

Yes, I made you a new chapter. And yes, I do know that I'm a horrible person for making you wait about 5 centuries for me to upload. And another yes, I'll most probably be writing more often for y'all. Okay, now you can enjoy this. If it is enjoyable, that is. Please tell me about any major mistakes, miscalculations, or other horrible stuff if you find any.

I dedicate this chapter to my fans who are there for me even after all this time!

Thank you! (:

That's Collin to the riiiight. Yup, he's sexy.

“Ho there!”

My eyes widened as armed men in full chainmail armor rounded in front of us. I sent a nervous glance to Ella but she ignored me, looking onward at the guards who were gathering around us in a circle.

“What has caused you to stop us?” Ella’s voice rang clearly, the guards shuffled at her calmness and muttered amongst themselves.

“We have a few questions we’d like to ask pertaining to Princess Addison.” One of them finally said. His face was clean of any intimidation but that made him seem even more intimidating. Ella didn’t falter.

“We know nothing about the princess.” Lance told them, eying the big brute behind the leader.

They looked over our faces. One of them settled on mine for a moment causing my breath to grow uneven, but soon went back to viewing all of us in only slight suspicion.

"Princess Addison of the palace, the King’s only daughter, has been kidnapped,” They watched our faces severely now, I tried to keep my face as calm as ever giving a slight look of surprise. But I hadn’t been the best actress all my life, I got caught by mother too many times to count.

“And if you know of anything about this you are obliged to go and report it, even if you are not sure if it is credible. There is a reward for your service depending on how valuable a tip you give us and if you hand us Addison personally the riches will not cease until death.” The guard’s voice was sharp and he stared us down to try and frighten us.

It was odd being in this situation. I’d never had a person, outside of my family and Larissa, look at me that way. It was an experience that I didn’t like. I felt weak, and dirty. Maybe I felt guilty. There honestly was an effort not to scoff in his face and tell him that I was the princess he was looking for and he wouldn’t lay a grubby paw on me or there would be dire consequences. The thought churned my stomach, I felt sick, had I really just thought that? That was as bad as Larissa. I squeezed my hands in effort not to physically chastise myself. I wasn’t that kind of person. I would never be that type of person.

I flushed as I saw the guards looking at my face and fists. They must have seen the small mental battle going on in my head. I made a note to hide my emotions better.

“If you have nothing we will let you go on your way. Where, exactly, are you heading?”

“We had no knowledge that the princess was even missing, sorry, sirs, can’t help you. We’re heading towards Caitsdel, little bustling town, they have good sweet strawberries there. Hopefully this heat won’t kill ‘em.” Collin rolled out his little grin and the guards grunted at his nonchalance. They then went along their way with their horses kicking up dust from the road and their armor clinking.
