Earth Girl.

chapter two ,part two .

This has been split in to two parts as i had a petulant child biting at my ancles earlier.lol . but anyway heres the rest of the chapter, i'll apologise now for any spelling mistakes and bad grammar, i call myself a storyteller not a writer due to the fact my writing is terrible sometimes. but hopefully the story still comes through.

Part two .

I was perfectly comfy slouching on the sofa with smith and matt when two new faces entered the room, David tennant and his wife Georgia moffett, i quickly sat up straight as david eyed smith and matt said hi to georgia. Smith simply nodded a greeting to them both then matt introduced me to the pair ,tacking on the end that i was part of the family here and that i knew smith from way back.

I think david was stuck on a subject to start conversation , he looked nervous and georgia was staring at smith . That was when david picked up my copy of shakespeare from the table and looked to us with a quizzicle expression.

"oh that was me and amy ,it's been a dull day so i was quizzing her on lines" matt told him.

"so your an actress amy , where did you study?" georgia asked

I let out a half snort half laugh noise" i'm not an actress, and i didn't study anywhere .i'm currently back at college just to get my basic qualifications, but i do love to read and i like to see different performances ,just to see the ways directors interpret the plays."

"what do you mean, you were always really bright when you were little, i thought we talked about you going off to uni to study science and lit , now your telling me you didn't finish high school" smith said ,he seemed outraged.

"sorry, i didn't mean to start an arguement" georgia put in ,obviously trying to stop us but it was too late, he had set me off.

"Don't you look at me like that ,i can't help the fact i didn't finish school. I got ill , i had no choice, it can't be so shocking i'm not exactly brains of britain material am i ." i answered a little annoyed that his dissapointment got to me so much. I've tought myself to ignore negative opinions of me , it saves a lot of self doubt.

Smith recovered from my comment fast and subdued me " sorry sweetheart but you are smart and you had such definate goals to achieve when you were younger, it just surprised me that you hadn't done what you planned" he said with a gentle smile , side hugging me . He knew just how to make me feel better.

"ok , change of subject.Amy what's your favorite play?" david asked

"it's a tigh between much ado or hamlet. i like the comedy but also the depth of feeling in hamlet." that was an easy one to answer.

"So smith how do you know amy" georgia asked .

"well she spent a lot of time here when she was younger, so we met here. I used to be a regular visitor and we became friends,i can't have been a very good friend though since she doesn't remember me" he said with a cheeky grin.

"oi, again not my fault,the migraines have messed up my memory, anything further than ten years back is very fuzzy. fifteen years back, which is when i knew you is completely gone."

He gave me a big hug which made everyone laugh " it's ok, still love ya " he said joking around. " I can tell you the first time i met you if you like?"

"Yeah, come on spill, this is bound to be odd" matt shouted as he was grabbing drinks from the kitchen.

"I was walking up the drive at night ,coming back from saying goodbye to a friend and i glanced at the fountain out front and almost had a heart attack when i saw a body at the bottom" everyone looked a little horrified " i got closer and then jumped in to pull out the body , when it bit me. " he looked at me ,pionted straight in my face and began to giggle " this one was about five years old and had layed on her back under thw water of the fountain staring at the sky, when i asked why she bit me and what she was doing, she said the stars twinkle more and look more alive from under the water"

"perfectly suitable answer" matt said , obviously trying to point out my oddity. "so what did you say to her?"

"i got in the fountain and watched the stars with her for a while, and she was right they sparkle more from under the water" i stuck my tounge out at matt at this point.

David and georgia laughed at us being so childish. "so when did you last see each other ? , you get on really well concidering amy says she doesn't remember you"georgia commented

I sat back against matt as he had some how ended up sat half behind me , sort of twisted around so he could see both smith and . I  wanted to hear this to see if it would jog my memory.

"UM.. Amy was fourteen, i'd come here to get over the loss of a friend.I always seem to come here when i've lost people, i hide away for a while then come here to sort of ease my way back into the public world" It sounded like he'd lost a lot of people.

"anyway,everytime i came amy happened to be visiting and she has this ability to make you smile even without a reason, although we were always getting into trouble ,so i have no idea why i did so much laughing and smiling."

I started to nod off to sleep since matt was playing with my hair behind me , when smith slapped his hand down on my thigh ,"come on you no sleeping ,you need to go try on that dress" he said sniggering at me .

"no , i don't like dresses, can't i wear trousers?"

"nope, go put a muzzle on your inner tomboy. it never worked when you were younger it won't work now"

"well at least tell me you have to wear a penguin suit, then i won't be so grumpy" i said while sulking

smith grabbed my hands and pulled me up from the sofa, "yes , i'm wearing a tux, the diference is i don't know what you look like dressed as a girl, but i know i look cool in a bow tie " he said with a wink.

"no one looks cool in a bow tie" i shouted as i walked out of the room and up the stairs.
