It feels like i've been sat around forever but it's only an hour since they left when i hear her arriving home . I stayed seated as they stormed through the door and river was unceremoniously dumped on the sofa beside me , she looked really pissed off.
Matt and the doctor looked like hell , that's wheni saw matts' eye.
"what the hell happened to you?"
"her, although now we grabbed her earlier she won't have the chance . Unfortunatly time travel means he gets to keep the bruise"
Ok this is getting beyond a joke i turned to river to get some answers.
"what's going on? , no skirting around the problem, out with it now."
"i'm just a little annoyed that's all , he never mentioned you and he always tells me everything "
"that can't be all , you hid your relationship with her too and i still don't know why" the doctor had a point there.
"what about what you said earlier ? about not letting amy near the tardis " matt asked , that must of been a conversation i missed .
"I'll tell amy everthing but you both need to leave, it's for her only " river sounded dead serious
the doctor just huffed and left the room , i could hear his boots hit every step he was gonna be hard to calm down . Matt went to the kitchen .
River told her story...
An hour later we popped into the kitchen to grab coffee, matt and the doctor were sat at the table looking tired and grumpy. I gave matt a kiss on the cheek as i passed him to stand by the doctor and play with his hair like i usually do, i noticed it was sticking inall directions as if he had been pulling his hands through it.
I looked down at his face and gave him a smile , he returned it only to give me a questioning glare .
"It's getting pretty late, i don't wanna go over it all again tonight" i told him hoping he would drop the subject for now.
"it is late ,i should be getting back. see you later amy , doctor , there will be a happy ending."
With that said river disapeared .
"i'm off to bed, are you coming or staying in the tardis ?"
The doctor was quiet but took my hand and pulled me up to bed after we said goodnight to matt.
I got changed while he showered , when we were both ready for bed we sat for a minute .
"are you gonna tell me?" he said so quietly.
"i'll tell you what you need to know, i am not a threat to you or river, or the planet. I am human, nobody is out to kill me , i am just me . that's all there is too it . "
He layed down facing me and i did the same "so river really is just playing the over protective aunt , maybe i'll believe that one day. But as long as there is no danger then we will just call the rest .."

Without worrying anymore about it we snuggled together , he crushed my legs between his and i couldn't help but giggle.
"i'm tired and don't need kicking while i'm down , now go to sleep earth girl"
