Earth Girl.

chapter four,Hello.

The party was in full swing when we got back inside, i was holding the doctors hand as we walked around the room catting to people. I was perfectly comfortable around these people now,i remembered some of them from previous visits and being with the doctor kept me relaxed as we talked.

The evening seemed to come to an end quickly and people began to leave, matt and steven were staying the night along with me, jess and the doctor. I was sat on the sofawith the doctor sprawled across my lap with his head rested back against my chest just under my chin when i felt myself start to fall asleep.Every time i started to nod off matt would laugh because as my head fell forward the doctor's hair would tickle my nose and make me jump.

"come on you , bedtime. Is our room still in the same place?" the doctor asked as he lifted me bridal style. I just nodded into his chest as he said goodnight to matt and jess, i think steven had already gone up.

"our room, you two share?" matt asked

"yep ,i do the whole sleeping in an actual bed thing when i'm here, i've always shared with amy,she had nightmares when she was little, but if i'm there she didn't."

"ok, goodnight"

I was still slightly awake as the doctor popped a t-shirt over my head and started to unlace the back of the dress under it, i must have gone into a deep sleep because the next thing i knew it was morning and i was waking up curled around the doctor.

"Hello, you're still a kicker" he whispered while squeezing my legs between his.

"why are you whispering?" i asked trying to wiggle free by tickling him.

"well i keep hearing voices from the other side of the door i think they're trying to decide who comes in to wake us and what to expect, matt seemed pretty curious last night about your sleeping arrangments"

Just as i let out a giggle matt came barging in the door with jess behind him." morning ! how'd you sleep, you do know it's almost lunchtime" he rushed out dumping himself down on the end of the bed.

I hopped out of bed in the shorts and t-shirt the doctor had dressed me in for bed , i don't know why i got so tired so quickly i'm usually a night owl but i guess my brain needed time to recoup.

"well if it's almost lunch that means i missed breakfast so feed me semour feed me !" i damanded of the doctor in my creepiest voice.

the doctor let out a laugh , getting up also in shorts and t-shirt  i couldn't help but chuckle "what" he asked while stretching and scratching his stomach.

"really,could your legs get any skinnier i thought the last regeneration was thin but look at them you're like a bird" i grabbed his hand and matts' in the other and pulled them from the room "you could both do with feeding up"

P.O.V. THE DOCTOR.

Amy was busy in the kitchen while matt and i sat drinking coffee at the table.

"so what was all the chatter outside our room this morning and the quizzing as we went up last night?"

"i don't want to be nosey ...but you two..is something going on there it's just you seemed close even before she knew who you were and now she does it's like you're glued to eachother, you spend all night holding hands then you share a bed... i know you said you slept together when she was little ,but she's not a kid anymore and ...i think you know that judging by your reaction to the dress last night"

"We're best friends even when she was little i prefered her company to that of the adults here, i know it sounds creepy, but it's always been that way i can't explain it.Do you like her ? last tnight you commented on her legs and now you're testing the water with me ,is that whats bothering you?"

"i don't know yet, i guess i'm testing a little to see if i'm in for a punch if you two were a thing or a lecture if you were just friends. i'm not sure how much i like her yet, she's smart and funny, very sweet but i've yet to get deeper so i don't know whats under that"

"nothing, that's absolutly all she is , smart, funny and sweet right to the heart. what i did last night, telling her i'd hidden half her life from her . Anyone else would of hit me, but not her because she's so understanding and caring ."

he gave a small half smile, i think i need to start on a list of rules now to avoid taking his head off later.

P.O.V. AMY.

Lunch was a little odd , matt and the doctor had been chatting until i came into the room and now they just kept looking at each other like they had some secret. I  chose to ignore it and get on with my day, my plans envolved nothing but the sofa and a good book , maybe a little chocolate.

We cleaned the table then went to the living room taking our seats, obviously the doctors head landed in my lap .Then matt asked the question i didn't want to be brought up.

"so can i see the tardis? "

"maybe later ,after amy goes home "

"ok, but why after she's gone it's not like she doesn't know about it, hell i bet you two have been to all the best places. "

I felt the need to but in as i could feel the doctor getting tense. " nope, i never wanted to go anywhere when i was really little and as i got older there was no way i was going near that thing. She may be beautiful and amazing but if you spend too much time with her you end up in a different dimension or having to forget your time there. you know, the permanant goodbye"

"That's amy's way of saying i keep her grounded to earth so i won't ever lose her, she just makes it sound like her idea."

"oh shut up spaceman"

"not a chance, my earth girl"
