My head... hates me , I don't even want to risk opening my eyes as I know the light is going to spear right into my brain. What the hell was I thinking drinking that much, I hardly remember coming upstairs to watch dvd's. Rolling over , very gently since I can feel every muscle in my body protesting , I grab the painkillers from the bedside drawer and gulp down four with a little water, without opening my eyes I might add before rolling back over to hug the doctor while they kick in.
I must have fallen back to sleep because I was woken a while later to the doctor trying to bury his head in my stomach and groaning like a wounded animal, he must be feeling hungover too. Although now my headache is gone and I'm feeling much more human, which is why I noticed the doctors stubble scratching my stomach , something I wouldn't be feeling if I were wearing a top.
I jumped like a scoulded cat , grabbing the sheet and covering myself as the doctor rubbed his eyes sitting up looking at me . He quickly looked at my hands clutching the sheet , then back at himself under the quilt, raising his eyes to mine he gulped .
Opening his arms he gestured to me to shuffle over the bed toward him, after a little hesitation a shiffled over and he wrapped his arms around me as I rested my chin on his shoulder .
"explain , please" I asked him.
" you don't remember? Bloody hell , sorry you must be ...god I don't know" he hugged me tighter then looked at my face " are you ok?"
"I'm fine , I think . The hangover brain fog is lifting , I recall cutting your hair and the kiss but the rest is still fuzzy." he listened to my rambling , watching my face . Then I noticed he was watching my mouth , realizing I was chewing at my badly I attempted to get up .
"Stay, sorry I'm not quite awake . Keep zoning off" he said pulling me back to his lap.
" are you ok? I mean I'm obviously not the only one this effects ." I looked up to his face expecting him to start prattling on , trying to change the subject but he just dipped his head and kissed me again.
" I can't be your distraction." I mumbled against his lips.
" No distraction, just a new beginning . tell me now if you don't feel the same and we can just file last night under do not discuss." the doctor said while trailing his lips down my neck.
only when given the option did I realize how much I wanted him this way , not just as some big brother type , but the last few weeks I've begun to get giddy at the prospect of being around him and I like that feeling .
"I want this "
The doctor pulled back to look at me "you're sure?"
I nodded before smiling a little "River and I had a bit of a silly plan going , that I wear dresses and girly stuff and see how long until you notice and get miffed or uncomfortable " I laughed a little at his raised eyebrow " but the last few weeks I guess , I stopped doing it because of the plan and more because I actually wanted you to notice me "
I think I was now blushing , but the doctor just smiled and leaned in " oh, I noticed" then it was back to the kissing , oh my lord the kissing . He's had twelve hundred years to practice and it certainly shows, my skin feels like it's humming .
We didn't take things any further than a make out ,before we decided on gong down for a late breakfast. When we got down to the kitchen Matt and Jess were in there cooking and messing around flirting , Jess looked over to us as we sat at the table and sent me a wink.
Matt came over with coffee and a couple of mugs , he looked a little nervous .
"so .. how are you two feeling this morning ? Any alcohol regrets , bet the hangovers are a killer"
"We're fine , why all the questions ? And why is Jess giggling into the fridge?"
I looked behind him to see jess' shoulders shaking , I then looked back to see Matt with a goofy grin as he stared at the doctor who had the look of a child with his hand in the cookie jar.
"OK someone start talking , what's with you?"
" Well , we know. You two were a little loud ...don't hit me " Matt said as he jumped back from the table , he must have seen the embarassment on my face because he just smiled at the doctor before going back to Jess .
" ok then , at least we don't need the awkward conversation about us being together" the doctor sounded so chipper and calm about this . I couldn't help but shrug and smile at him before leaning over the table to kiss him , when I sat back Jess popped a plate of BLT sandwiches in front of us while smiling from ear to ear .
"so you're officially an item? yay" she actually did a little happy dance . we couldn't keep the laughs in.
After eating Matt and Jess snook off to the cinema , I think they're dating now I'll make a mental note to embarass them later .
"I think it's time , come on." the doctor took my hand and started pulling me to the library, when we got there he pulled me to the tardis and shuvved me through the doors.
It's beautiful, and standing at the centre is the interface in the image of Idris.
"well it's about time you came home little one " she spoke directly to me then turned on the doctor
" And you , fancy keeping her to yourself for so long " she scolded him.
"Don't start with me dear, you of all people know my reasons"
"Ok , nevermind all that come in and pick a destination, I've been been dieing to steal you away"
I couldn't help but smile as I walked to the console , "ok Idris, surprise me " but we must be back on time , do you understand me , I have a son at home so this is just a short trip.
"of course" she said before blinking out, with that the usual shaking and bumpy ride began, and so did my adventure with the doctor .
