chapter ten.party time

Jess came bursting in the bedroom and scared the hell out of us, we jumped up and almost knocked eachother out by banging our heads together, ouch.

"What the hell jess?" i screached

"Come on get up, we're having a party tonight River and i have been planning for hours. We got bored of waiting for you two to get up so i thought i'd come get you"

" Another party, what is it with you jess your a party animal"

" This one was Rivers' idea, she wants to introduce you to someone "

" Wait a minute, you just scared us half to death waking us up , all because River wants to set Amy up on a date. No way , not happening ."

He was grumpy this morning , but i knew what Jess meant. I would be introduced to family, not some blind date. I just need to calm mr angry pants here down and come up with an excuse to have the party.

"No sugar, i asked River last night if she knew anybody who could help with my studies, you know i want to learn all i can now that my memory is working properly" i said gently , giving the dr a hug and resting my chin on his shoulder.

"oh, that sounds great, but i could teach you better than any professer" great now he's sulking.

" No offence hun, but i need someone with the patiance to teach me from the very basic. You know so much you wouldn't have the patiance to slow things down for me, and if you set of on one of your insulting rants i wouldn't hesitate to slap you" i smiled as i got out of bed.

"ok" was all he said as he got up and dresed.

"It's not formal this time , there won't be many people here so dress however you feel tonight, although it is three pm so you two might wanna grab some breakfast before it actually hits dinner time"

"What, three! why let us sleep this late?"

"we shouted for you but both of you were out for the count" Jess said as she left the room laughing.

PARTY TIME ..

After spending the afternoon dodging the doctors' questions about my supposed tutor we were sat around the parlor with a few of Jess and Rivers' friends , some human and some various other species. River seemed familiar with many of them , my goodness that woman has gotten around .

I'd decided to keep it casual with my outfit and had stuck with leggings and converse with a dark blue smock style dress, pretty but not overly girly. I didn't see the point of giving people the wrong impression , especially my special guest. The doctor was busy chattering away with people while i sat in the window seat swinging my feet like a child .

"Alright everyone it's time " River announced as she sauntered into the room.

I  jumped from my seat at the sound of her voice and went to stand by the doctor, i didn't know who was coming so i needed to be close to him incase he reacted badly to the news.

" Amy are you ok to continue?" River asked giving a quick glance at the doctor .

" Yes , we're good "

River looked behind her and motioned for someone to step into the room, the doctors jaw dropped then he instantly looked horrified.

" Hello Amy , my you've grown since I last saw you."

" Hello , I don't know what to call you . Donna or mum?"

I startled when the doctor spoke up

" What the hell, River how could you be so stupid bringing her here." he rushed over to them but i took hold of his hand pulling him back.

"Calm down you twit, i'm fine . Now that Amy is all grown the secret doesn't need to be kept any longer and from what River has said Amy has had your protection longer than any of us knew."

I walked across the room with him as Donna grabbed him into a hug, the look of confusion mixed with happiness on his face was amazing.

"No offence but how are you ok? The suppressed memories should have burnt you up by now."

" I'm ok because they haven't been suppressed for a couple of years now. River can explain it all better than i ever could " she looked to River and we took seats on the sofa.

"It's all pretty simple really , it was him." River pointed to the doctor

"How was it me ?"

"You my dear rebooted the universe, then my mother brought you back. She brought the timelord race back into existence and in doing so she awoke the energy in Donna."

"Then how was Donna not destroyed?"

"Go on spaceman , keep fixating on the possibility of my death. God your a misery, just be glad i'm alive." Donna scolded the doctor.

" As i was saying , the energy was woken but instead of harming Donna it took form and conciousness. It took a sample of her DNA and carried on a normal path of growth. Donna then had all the memories back and tried to call the Tardis , but being the clever girl she is the Tardis rerouted the call to me ."

" Why would she do that?"

" Think doctor , she can see the future and knew the child would be wanted , just as I was . So i went to help Donna who it seemed had become heavily pregnant overnight , obviously not to her husband ."

"Yeah, that took some explaining to Shaun, but at least grandpa was happy we could swap stories" Donna said with a laugh.

" Back to the story, a few days later Donna delivered a baby girl and after stealing the Tardis i used the cameleon arc to hide her , then took her back in time just far enough that if anyone heard rumour of a timelord birth she would be fully grown and able to defend herself."

The doctor looked at me , and kissed my forehead ." so that's where you get your mouth from"

" Cheek" exlaimed Donna .

"One more thing, here you go Amy " Donna passed me a chain with a small ornate pocket watch at the end, it looked like something a nurse would wear.

" Are you gonna open it ?" the doctor asked while stroking my hair.

I took hold of the chain and placed it around my neck , I held the watch in my palm to see how it felt............
