꧁ Jaden ꧂
Finally I was done doing groceries. I had to shop a lot, because I didn't like going often. And I hated leaving my girl alone in there, I didn't want her to be lonely. I wanted her so bad, leaving her for a bit alone hurt like hell. It was like I was attached to her, the more far away she is, the more it hurt.
I wanted to take her, be as close to her as I could. Kiss her, make love to her. Only then I'd be complete. Only then I would feel human again, and everything would be perfect. But she wasn't ready for that yet, and I'd prefer it to be perfect for both of us. She seemed scared every time I looked at her beautiful body, every time I came close she flinched. But that will change. It was going to change, she'd see how much she needed me too.
And life would be perfect.
But at the moment that I arrived back at my house, I felt something was off. Two unknown cars were parked in front of it. Police cars. Shit, they didn't-
I parked as quickly as I could and ran to two agents who were standing by the house, and fixating me.
"Are you the owner of this house, sir?" they asked me before I even arrived to them.
"That is none of your business," I told them, wanting to go inside to see how my Alisha is doing. She must be so scared right now. But the police men stopped me. "Please sir, we'll have to ask you to not enter this house. Do you live here?" they asked me again. I started getting irritated. "Yes! I do! And it is none of your business to come inside and-" I stopped talking as soon as the door opened.
A man and woman, both from the police too, came out. In between them was Alisha, shaking as a leaf, looking so small and vulnerable that I just wanted to take her in my arms and cuddle her to sleep. It made me furious to see her leaving the house, going away and trusting these people more than me. I took a few big steps towards her, but the male police officer firmly stood in my way, holding his hand out, and Alisha flinched and clamped to the female officer like her life depends on it. She was staring out in front of her, softly whispering Yara's name.
"Alisha!" I exclaimed, "Can you go back inside please?" She only shook more and seemed like she wanted to get as far from me as possible, and the female officer was holding her, whispering some words to her, trying to calm her down. That should be me comforting her! That bitch wasn't going to-
"Did you hold this girl in your house, sir?" one of the other two police men asked me. I turned around. "This is my girlfriend! She lives here!" I answered. They couldn't just take her away, she was mine.
The police all looked at each other, exchanging a look. Sir, we're going to have to arrest you. You have all rights to remain silent-" They approached me, but I was quicker. Before any of them could move, I grabbed Alisha and grabbed her close to me. The poor thing was still shaking.
But the rage in me was bigger, and I only had one last hope.
"You will not take us apart!" I announced, and I took out a dagger from my pocket, holding it against Alisha's throat. The police immediately took out their guns and pointed it at me. "Sir-"
"No! We are not going to be taken apart. If you kill me, you kill her. If you take me, you take her. We belong together. We are meant to be, and she was about to realize that, but you ruined everything!" From the agitation my loud voice cracked. Alisha was shaking under my grip. "Don't be scared, love, we'll get through this together" I whispered in her ear. Sh tried getting away, but I pressed the knife harder against her neck.
"Sir, please put down the-" The female officer tried talking to me calmly, but I focused my words to her now. "Are you going to take her away from me?" I asked her. She didn't answer. "Do I need to repeat my words?!" I said louder, applying more pressure to the knife and making Alisha's breath speed up. More silence.
"Don't worry, sweetheart," I whispered to Alisha's ear, "we're never going to be apart again," before I quickly slit her throat and let her body go. When she fell to the ground, gasping for air, holding her hands around her neck, I pointed the knife to myself and stabbed it in my chest. The pain was excruciating. But we're going together now.
I did say I'd love her until the end of our days...
꧁ Alisha ꧂
I gasped for air, and the last seconds of my life felt like an eternity. The pain... But more than the pain, I felt the loss. I lost my life, and I amwasdying. I was going to freaking die, right here, right now.
I'd cry, but I couldn't. Or I was, but I couldn't feel it. I couldn't feel anything except for the pain, the blinding pain.
I felt two arms around me, holding me. I looked up, and to my relief it was Miranda, the female police officer who got me out. At least I wouldn't spend the last seconds my life in Jaden's claws. I was almost free...
"Hey, Alisha, hold on okay?" she held something against my throat. I just looked at her, not able to produce any sound. But was she... crying?
I picked my strength together and asked her "Hold my... hand?" My voice was stuttering and soft, but she immediately took my hand in her. She was definitely crying now. And I thought was I too. "You're going to be okay, Alisha, yeah? Trust me, you're going to be okay..." her voice faded away, and my focus on her face too. Instead I looked up, and stared at the sky.
It was actually a beautiful day, barely any clouds, except a big one, that seemed to come closer...
But it wasn't a cloud. The closer it got, the more I could see features, human features. An angel?
No, Yara.
The pain was totally gone at this point, and I held out my hand to hers and we met. That touch dragged me out of my lying position, and I floated up with her, towards the blue sky. I know my body was still there, but I didn't want to look back.
"Hey, you" Yara said, a huge smile on her face. "I missed you."
Smiling back, I told her, "So did I."
Then she slapped me. I was perplexed. "Did you just-" Yara didn't let me finish. "Yes. You're not dying, idiot. Snap out of it, drama queen."
I just stared at her. "Yara, I think I've kinda died already-" She slapped me again. "Just listen to me for once, okay? Get back to earth. It's not your time yet. You're going to love an amazing fucking life, and you're going to be so so happy, okay? Now go back before it's too late."
She waved with her hands and my vision went black again. But not before I could hear her voice one last time again.
I love you.

Dealing with Yara's death a second time was just as hard as the first time.
I had woken up in the hospital, a big bandage around my neck where Jaden had cut it. The first thing I asked was where Yara was, but they reminded me she had died months ago. But I knew she was really gone now. I knew she left.
The second thing I asked was where my parents were, and just at that moment they had stormed in, flying in my arms for a hug.
My last question was Jaden. Dead.
And through the pain, I smiled.
