Liu Meiqi
Hands shaking, forehead breaking out into a sweat, fingers turning cold. She was trembling from how nervous she was.
Liu Meiqi finally chose a company to start her official training. Many companies had reached out to her after her dance video to EXO's The Eve went viral, gaining over 2.5M views and 500k likes. This was one of the many videos that had gone viral; following The Eve, almost all her videos always reached at least 500k views and countless amount of likes. She was known on the web for being the next "Liu YuXin." She had been practicing all these years, and this day has finally come. The next step was debuting, but she couldn't be thinking of that when she hadn't even begun training yet.
She was actually quite worried because Times Fengjun (TF) Entertainment was known for having only male artists. It had caused quite a stir on the internet when the media had found out TF Entertainment was accepting their first female trainee. She knew there would be mixed opinions about her acceptance but nevertheless, she was chosen for a reason.
Liu Meiqi was busy mumbling to herself, please let my first day go well. Please don't do something dumb and make a fool out of myself. Please don't make me talk to anyone else. "What are you mumbling about?" asked her manager. "Nothing, I'm just really nervous."
"Yea, I can tell. You look like you're about to faint. I'm going to get some water for you. Why are you so worried, you know your abilities are well above the majority of trainees."
"It doesn't matter, you know how I am. And there are a lot of other people that are better than me, all my role models"
Sigh* "They're your role models for a reason; that's why they're better than you, or else they wouldn't be your role model"
"I know, but still. I trained for all these years so I could one day be as good as them. If I'm still not at that level yet, then there's no reason to call me good."
"You know, in this world, there are people that are terrible but have a load of confidence. And then there's you, amazing but no confidence"
Confidence... It wasn't that Meiqi lacked confidence. She just liked to stay humble. Plus, she strongly believed people could surpass; she's had this mindset for the past ten years ever since she began dancing. No matter how good she got, she never let it get to her head because she always thought she could do better.
