Jiaqi's abrupt stop made everyone bump into each other.
"OW wth Ma ge, why did you stop", complained Yaowen.
"Probably because he's too busy staring at Meiqi", replied Junlin with a smirk.
Jiaqi shot a stank eye at him. "Just wait till we get back to the dorms", he muttered.
Ready 3,2,1
"HELLO WE ARE TNT 时代少年团," said TNT members.
That caught Meiqi off guard. She didn't know they introduced themselves to everyone like that; she thought it was only on variety shows.
Meiqi's manager nudged her. "Introduce yourself," he whispered. "But don't they already know who I am," Meiqi said as quietly as possible. "Just do it; it's going to be awkward if you don't."
In a very soft and mellow tone, Meiqi introduced herself. "Hello, I am Meiqi; I'm 17 this year. I was recruited by your company last mo-
"Because you went viral for your Love Shot dance cover and kept getting more famous since. You're 17 and attend Guangdong Zhongyuan High School but came to Beijing to be a trainee. Won a lot of dance competitions too", said Junlin.
"Uh...", wth how do they know all of this already Meiqi thought to herself.
"LEI HO AHH, I'm so glad there's someone I can talk to in Canto now. We can bad mouth my members together HAHA", said Yaxuan.
"Can you not cut people off when she's talking", said Zhenyuan to both of them.
Jiaqi muttered, "Can you guys shut up, you're scaring her"
All members reply "yes da ge" sarcastically.
"Looks like you're quite popular Meiqi. They're rarely this talkative, only amongst each other," said TNT's manager.
Haha.. Meiqi awkwardly laughed. They're so much more talkative than I thought. She had watched some clips of TNT in different variety shows, and Yaxuan was always relatively quiet. That's a nice surprise I guess, she thought to herself. And it's always nice to meet other people that could speak Canto. She found that over the years, it was easier for her to become friends with people that knew Canto; it was just a similarity that pulled her together with others.
"Ok, boys let's go, bring Meiqi's stuff up for her"
Zhenyuan turns to the rest of TNT. "Looks like it's my time to SHINEE"
All the other TNT members rushed to help Meiqi while Chengxin and Jiaqi just laughed at them, quarreling over who got to carry what.
Well this is the new start, Meiqi thought to herself.
