Meiqi didn't notice because she was too busy panicking.

As they were heading out TNT's manager whispered, "I heard about what happened this morning" with a laugh.

Freaking Ma Jiaqi, I'm going to kill him later, thought Chengxin.

Meiqi and Chengxin headed off to practice room 5, two doors down from TNT. Their dance instructor (Jackson Yee) was already there waiting for them. Yaowen was walking down the hallway when he saw them and ran up to them. "Ding Ge are you not going to practice with us today", he asked.

"Manager decided Meiqi is going to be my partner for 东方风云榜音乐盛典. We're practicing together until it's time for the performance", replied Chengxin.

"LUCKYY, that's not fair I want to be her partner too". Yaowen ran off to tell the others.

"Let's get started. We only have about three weeks before the performance. Do you guys know what song you're dancing to?", said Jackson.

"I heard we're dancing to Manta by Lexie Liu", replied Chengxin.

"That's right. Because the choreography isn't made for two people, they told me to rearrange the dance. Specifically, as a couple dance"

Meiqi loved Manta and Lexie Liu. She had created her own choreography for Manta before, and it had been one of her videos that also blew up. But as a couple dance?? What was their company thinking? "Nope, not unless you ask your managers. But I also need to remind you that you guys don't have much time left, and if you want me to rearrange the dance, it's going to take at least a couple of days. You guys are already short on time to begin with".

Meiqi sighed. What am I going to do? This was not what I was expecting when I signed with TF entertainment. Chengxin had been glancing at Meiqi the whole time Jackson was talking and noticed how uncomfortable she looked. He felt bad for her too, but he really couldn't find anyone else to be his partner.

"I'm going to take that as we can start practicing then", cued Jackson.

"Yea we can start", said Chengxin. Chengxin turned over to Meiqi to apologize but noticed she ran to get her cap. If I have a cap, then I won't have to make eye contact with him, thought Meiqi. They began practicing...

"Chengxin. Chengxin. CHENGXIN. DING CHENGXIN"!!!, yelled Jackson.
