"Breathe in for me." Alec took a deep breath as he was told. The cold metal on Valentine's stethoscope pressing against his skin. As he listened attentively, Alec couldn't help but to witness the look on his family's face while he's being examined by their close and personal friend."How is it looking?" Robert asked. Alec couldn't help but feeling hopeful and wished everyone was here but not everyone. Max and Magnus weren't here, he wishes they were but he could only hope for so many things right now and he kind of running out on wishes to be granted anymore.
Valentine sighed as he took a seat besides Alec staring at his monitor and took a felt on his wrist. He calculated it by his watch for over a minute, not putting any trust on the machine. Alec sighed looking at his blank face waiting patiently for his reply. After a minute he sighed again and Alec couldn't help but felt rather irritated by his delay.
"I'm still not happy letting you go." He said almost a whispered. A soft smile appears on Alec's face when he said let go. "Is that mean, I can go home?" He asked and couldn't hide his happiness behind his voice.
"I didn't say that yet." Valentine replied and Alec already excited about the thought. "Please, please, please!!!! I'll do anything just so I could go home." Alec pleaded and he even raised his both palm together begging his god father to released him from this awful nightmare. He even forgot the way his room used to look and he swore he even forgot the ride back home.
"There is a lot of matter to discuss and doesn't mean I'm releasing you means it's over. Alec you have to come for every appointment, every therapy, each and every time you had any-" before Valentine even finished his words, Alec interrupts him by promising himself to all of it.
"Yes, I'll do it all. I promised." He raised his palm honoring the word he just said and his siblings chuckled at his actions.
"Slow down Alec." Maryse told him, "What do we have to watch out for?" Maryse asked, clearly concerned were over her face knowing Alec was not that easy to take of at home. "Well for starter his diet. He has to take low salt, low cholesterol, low sugar diet." Valentine started, "I think we all agree that is an awful punishment enough for Alec?" Izzy replied but her mother shushed her just so Alec won't feel bad about it.
"His medication. Alec you can't stop taking them at all. I warned you, I refused to hear any excuses like I forgot, I overslept, or my personal favorite, I don't like the effects of it." Jace had to chuckle at the words cause he knew exactly how his brother behaved towards all of it.
Alec eyed his brother in frustration and crossed his arm across his chest waiting for him to finish. "What's next?" Robert asked, "The most important, no strained activities until I say so!" Valentine had to hide his smile over his last remark before Alec's family had to join him.
"What are you guys smiling about?" Alec asked innocently. "Alec he meant sex." Izzy had to whispered the last word just so her brother won't get embarrassed. "What makes you think I would be doing such thing?" He asked sincerely hurt from the thought.
"He just meant that you and Magnus have to wait a little longer before you guys can consummate your relationship." Jace added knowing how gullible his brother might be. Alec's sudden change of expression causing his whole family to worried that he might have a different idea instead.
"It's never going to happen anyway. Magnus is going to Australia for his business school." Alec had to hide his voice from cracking by clearing his throat a bit. He couldn't look at anyone in front of him cause if he did, he might fall and break into tears. He had enough tears shed over the years but with Magnus, he felt like had more.
Everything that Magnus did and thought of made him breaks a little inside. Anything that made Magnus happy, his heart flutters too. He hated how his world revolved around Magnus, how everything that he made, do or said, affects Alec in anyway possible.
