What is it about bowling alley's
That transcends time and space
It's a whole new world
And time seem to stops
It takes you back in time
To the so called
Good ol' days
When we were kids
We'd spend hours here
At the old bowling alley
Not on the main drag
But the more run down one
Off the road
On the edge of town
The one with the crappy arcade no one wanted to touch
Because of all the snotty kids that went in there
The one with the pizza and the corn dogs
That taste like they're three weeks old
But we ate it anyways
Because that's what you do when you go to the bowling alley
The one with the overpriced water
That we never bought
Because we'd just go to the bathroom with the water fountain in it
Remember when
We celebrated birthdays
And test scores
We'd laugh at the animations the T.V.'s gave us
Whenever we got a strike
Now that bowling alley
Is closed
No one went to it anyways
Except us
Now that bowling alley is shut down
Just like our friendship
