April Showers
Bring May Flowers
That's how the poem goes, right?
April showers
Rainstorms, baby showers, surprise birthday parties, wedding showers
Busy, busy, busy
It's a busy month
And it only has 30 days
It's a month
That lasts forever
Drags on and on
But that's alright
At least
It once was alright
When I loved April
And the showers it brought
Rainstorms
And birthday parties
The occasional baby or wedding shower
So much to do
In such a little amount of time
And while birthdays
Occur every year
Every
April
The month
Can turn sour
Especially when you grow apart
Grow very
Very
Far apart
April rolls around
It brings the grey clouds
And the rain showers
I stare at my calendar
At the dates that I'll never be able to forget
So many birthdays
Of people
I used to know
But wish
I could forget
How could I forget?
It's a constant reminder
Every twelve months
April is here again
With those memories
The countless parties
And arranged surprises
As much heartache
Those people caused me
I'll still think of them every April
And whisper a Happy Birthday to them
April Showers
Bring May Flowers
Maybe the poem is more than just rain and tulips
Maybe I had to go through that pain
My rain showers
For my May to arrive with flowers-
With so much better things to come
