I love the gas stations
Around here
There's just so many
The best ones
Are the ones with donuts
Always fresh
Always home made
There's always interesting folk
At the gas stations
There's the city ones
That are always busy
And the ones in the middle of nowhere
Where logically
There shouldn't even be need for a gas station
I try to avoid these places
Once the sun has set
But in the daylight
I spend many hours at the gas stations
No particular reason why
Other than there's no place to go
In this town
Gas stations are an escape
People from other places
Just passing through
Have so many stories
To share
