The way her fingers
Thread the stems together
So intricately
So delicate in their work
The way she focuses on the daisies
How her face scrunches up
It's the cutest face, I swear
She threads and knits the stems together
Creating chains and crowns of daisies
I don't know how she does it
She tries to teach me
But I'm always at an utter lost
Or so in awe with her
I eventually stop listening to her
She is so passionate about her work
I love her for that
For her passion
For her aspirations
She finishes the crown of daisies
Daintily setting it upon my head
She'll laugh
As it falls onto my face
Saying that I'm now a flower princess
But I'll laugh
And say she's the princess
She was the one who made the crown after all
We agree that we're both flower princesses
With our crowns of daisies
She links some more daises together
Making smaller chains
Turned bracelets
She wraps them around my wrist
And hers
She says that they're a promise
Of friendship that'll last forever
I smile and nod
Daisies mean innocence
Like the innocent promise of we'll be friends forever
Forever can't last
But I like the idea
Of how daisies symbolize love
While her promise is innocent
I like to think
The promise is something more
We'll love each other forever
At least
For as long as forever lasts
