Chapter : 9

Author's pov :

Turning the light off y/n came out of the washroom.
She did her Night routine. It was just 10:20 p.m. but she had college tomorrow.
Still she decided to play the piano before sleeping. Piano always made her happy and calm but what mattered the most right now is that she had to prepare for the upcoming summer festival which is on may 14th.

She had like three months but it was always her who plays the piano for each festival the college hosts and sometimes a few other students plays with her but according to her teacher she was the best in college.

Y/n put her fingers on the piano keys and started to play the masterpiece she is preparing for the festival.

After playing for half an hour she went to sleep.
But suddenly in the midnight she jolted awake from her sleeping while breathing heavily and sweating like crazy.
She had a nightmare which almost felt real.

She saw she was having a happy picnic with her family. Her mum and dad. she was much younger then maybe 16 or 17. she was so happy, everyone was so happy,
Suddenly clouds started to form. The sky became dark. she looked at her parents to find them gone. Then the rain started to pour as she panicked to find shelter but as she was looking here and there she saw an older man coming towards her .

Seeing him made her blood run cold.

Fear made its way inside her heart like a poisonous claw tearing apart flesh.
she started to run away- far away from that man but that man started chasing her as well. She ran for her life but at one point the man caught her and was about to lay his sinful hands on her but that's when she jolted awake from her sleep.
Her heart beat so fast that she could hear it.
" it's a nightmare.... it's not real.." she tried to assure herself.
Then she tried to fall back asleep but that night she couldn't have a good night sleep.

The next day~
Y/n paddled her bicycle harder as she was getting late for her morning class. Last night she didn't have a nice sleep which resulted her in feeling sleepy during the early morning and then she is slept in and now she is almost fighting to be not late.

Yuki was already in the class and waited for her. Both of them came by their bicycles but they start alone and they meet up at a park on the way to college. Today Yuki waited but didn't get a glimpse of her as
y/n was still sleeping.
So at the last moment yuki called her and woke her up and that's how now yuki waited for y/n to show up in the classroom.

Meanwhile~~
A loud screech sound emitted from the parking lot as y/n Parked her bicycle quickly and literally ran to her class.
After running for 3 minutes she finally reached her class.

Luckily her professor had not come yet. she looked at her wrist watch to see 2 minutes were still left. She sighed in relief and plopped down on her seat beside Yuki.

You quickly gave gave her a tissue seeing how sweaty y/n was. Y/n took the tissue and muttured a ' thank you ' before wiping her face.

The morning classes went smoothly. Y/n got a text from Mark about how he did not see her in the morning to which she replied that she was late today.
They texted casually during morning classes from time to time.
Now it was lunch time as both the girls made their way to the cafeteria.
Mark and they were not batch mates but they were glad that they have the same lunch time. So they can eat and gossip together.

Y/n and Yuki made their way towards Mark's usual table. On the way y/n looked around and made eye contact with someone she almost forgot existed.

Her breath hitched as she actually totally forgot about him.
YangYang was looking at her in the eyes . It was a glare. His eyes were sharp enough to send a shiver down y/n's spine. She quickly looked away and went to sit beside Haechan.
Bad choice. Cause yeah sure she sat on the opposite side from yangyang so he could only see her back but it's haechan by her side. So of course he took food from her plate from time to time.
At first she was ok but he just took the last remaining side dish from her plate. She was mad. She wouldn't be this much mad if it wasn't her favourite Side dish.
So to take revenge she took the last remaining chicken from Haechan's plate. That made Haechan gasp in disbelief.
Now they were bickering like hell.

"You guys , calm down" Mark tried to calm them.
" The roles have switched. Before it was Yuki and Haechan now it's y/n" Renjun said while chewing his rice. Jeno shrugged looking at them.
"See it's not just me! He gets on everyone's nerve!" Yuki tried to make her point.
Y/n heard her and looked at her before saying " Exactly!"
"Come on I just ate that simple side dish but you took my chicken!" Haechan argued.

"No!! It wasn't a simple side dish! It was my favourite. Now give it back!"
" What!? You want me to puke and give it ?!"
"Ewww! What the hell! No! I meant buy me some "
" Why would I? Even if I buy you some you gotta buy me my chicken"
" Ok! Deal"
"Uhh..but guys the cafeteria doesn't sell that side dish. Y/n brought it from home" Jaemin said out .
Now everyone looked at him.
Hearing this y/n's face became red.
She really was looking forward to eat this. But now it's gone. She felt she was being childish but it's food- her favourite food that's why she almost felt like crying.

"Hey!hey! Are you gonna cry?! No don't!! I promise I'll ask my mom to make that food and give it to you tomorrow!!" Haechan panicked seeing y/n's red face and teary eyes.
Haechan suddenly hugged her and pat her back saying apologies.
Y/n didn't cry though but her face flushed more red -if that's possible- because of the sudden skinship.
She awkwardly nuzzled her face in the crook of his neck as he apologized.

Many had different reactions seeing the scene.
Jeno, Jaemin and Renjun looked surprised at the scene. Cause they internally shipped Haechan with Yuki. But it's just a hug so they tried to shrug it off.
While Yuki was confused. She didn't know what to feel but she kinda felt weird and upset? She didn't know what it was.
And then there's Mark who felt his world collapse at the scene.

Another person was also watching the whole thing and became annoyed with everything that unfolded before his eyes.
'How dramatic!' He thought and rolled his eyes
